You simply MUST hop on the 1 train downtown to last stop and head for the East River Ferry, it will leave you at DUMBO - have a lovely walk and some food - find a bench and people watch. Make your way all the way down to Brooklyn Bridge Park at Brooklyn Heights and the go to Noodle Pudding for dinner. One of my fav ways to spend to an afternoon and eve - you will love it.

Take the Ferry, it's amazing and you get a great view of downtown and the Statue of Liberty. Don't miss this gem. $4 a ride.
