I came to relax and that's just what I did. The balcony had a breathtaking view of the ocean. I was however awakened by the birds each morning a different one almost each time. The beach is within eyesight but further than it appears. In my opinion it's best to drive there especially if it's hot. The security guy was awesome! I think he has lifetime friends in us now. All utensils and supplies are there. My only con would be the water. The electrity had a few issues as well but they worked hard to figure it out. Occasionally the water would be out as well and once we let Joy or security know, it was taken care of. I enjoyed my stay and I appreciate Joy and her crew for their hospitality.

There are plenty of tourist apartments on the Airbnb that are similar if not nicer than the beach hotels. But when I travel, I like to live in neighborhoods, among the citizens who live in that country. That’s why I stay in Alieu’s home. It’s literally his home, with his room locked off, but three more bedrooms are available for guests. It’s not on a busy paved street and there will be an occasional goat walking by and definitely a dog sleeping on the street in the dust. But it’s a lovely home, with solar power back up, AC in every room, a gas stove and a good refrigerator and a spacious living room and everything I need including Wi-Fi. Things go wrong as usual in life, and Alieu has always responded immediately. And his guard Wally is always on premises to take care of smaller issues. All in all it feels like we’re living in a Gambian home in a Gambian neighborhood. And walking to the corner shop to buy some water or some eggs were the only tourists around.

I had a wonderful one month stay at Svens Airbnb. The apartment is inside a family compound and this is something I really enjoyed. Being surrounded by a Gambian family made my stay special. We ate together, they showed me around and learned me some Wolof. I had a blast with Mo and his family. The area, Bijilo, is calm and 10 minutes walk from the beach. The house is close to the main road from where you can go everywhere. To senegambia it’s only 5-7 minutes drive. Mo is very attentive, social and helpful. He can help you with anything and if he doesn’t know he will connect you. I really recommend this place if you want to connect with Gambian lifestyle and learn to get to know the culture. There is no wifi but for 150 D you can but you wifi for a week. Anyway, I had a great time

Stefan ist ein sehr netter Vermieter. Reagierte schnell bei Mängel und war immer erreichbar. Für uns war die Unterkunft optimal und von der Lage genau richtig. Komme gern wieder.

I had a wonderful stay at Alagi's place, Pa his brother and family were extremely friendly and welcoming. Attentive host I always felt welcomed and at home. Anything that I requested was taken care of. I would recommend Alagi's place and I would stay here again. Thank you for making me and my husband feel so welcomed. I had a wonderful vacation. The place was very big very spacious. We were not there much. We were out a lot. Omar the attendant. There was absolutely wonderful. He was really at our back and call anytime. My fiancé would call him. He answered. We were coming home at five 6 o’clock in the morning and he would be there to open our gate. The best service I’ve probably ever had from a very kind man. Omar made our stay very pleasant so we thank him very much.

Wer Urlaub auf einem Bauernhof machen möchte, ist hier sehr gut aufgehoben. Der Manager und seine Mitarbeiter sind sehr hilfsbereit und zeigen einem stolz die moderne Agrikulturtechnik. Wenn man den hektischen Hochburgen der Touristenzone entfliehen möchte, kann man sich dort gut erholen.

Mr Momodou is a great host. Picked my family and I from the airport and treated us like family right from the beginning. He took us to interesting places at his own cost. We had an amazing time at a friendly and welcoming neighbourhood. We felt right at home during our stay. I highly recommend Mr Momodou and his apartments. He is a super host.
