Truly a home away from home. Amazing views of Dunedin and the coast line. The property was as described. An amazing plus was the large amount of supplies in the fridge and pantry - thank you Grant!

Great location, walking to everything in the centre of Dunedin. The views from the front room are spectacular and the unit was well equipped and comfortable.

Having spent 6 weeks travelling from Cape Regina in the North to Invercargill in the South and having stayed in 12 other accommodation situations, Carla and Ken’s little house was by far the best we’ve experienced. It was like a home away from home with all the comforts provided. The kitchen was fantastic, the beds were warm and comfortable and the shower was hot with plenty of water pressure. Would recommend staying over anywhere else if you’re visiting Invercargill. We wished we’d had more time there. Thank you Carla and Ken for 2 of the best nights R&R one could wish for. Chris was a great host - and the accomodation was peaceful, quiet and cosy! Well positioned to get to local places of interest. Definitely recommended!

Our second time staying at Paula’s. We stayed longer this time and were able to really enjoy and appreciate everything it has to offer. It is such a bright and cheerful cottage with a large sunny deck which we utilised for morning coffee in the sun and bbq’s in the evening. We had family visit and grandchildren were able to explore the surroundings. They all felt they were on holiday even though they lived five minutes away. All this was enhanced by bird song and lavender. I would highly recommend.

If you are looking for breathtaking views all around and an escape from the noisy world, this immaculate, modern and cozy home rental is for you. The retreat exceeded our expectations and was the perfect way to experience the solace of NZ’s South Island. We felt pampered by everything — from Michelle’s generous breakfast offerings (and me being able to cook in her amazing chef’s kitchen), and the heated bathroom floors and exquisite soaking tub, to the softest sheets we’ve ever slept on and the gigantic picture windows in every room pointed directly at the Pacific Ocean beaches and green meadows and foliage all around us. Bonus was seeing the brightest stars and the Milky Way up above! We can’t wait to come back.

Was beautiful view. Small but great size for my partner and I. Homely feeling to the place. Very convenient for us. Paul is always fast to reply and very contactable. We really appreciate being able to stay 5 weeks in this home. Would definitely recommend.

This is a very nice historic building, and the apartment is well appointed with high ceilings and windows. There is a lift to whisk you to the top floor, and parking on the street is easy and inexpensive. The unit is strategically located near many of the main sights around the city. The Chinese Scholar’s Garden is located right across the street, and is a very cool place to visit. The Settler’s Museum is right next door. And don’t forget Maggie’s — an easy ten minute walk for a great breakfast — and The Duke of Wellington (a one minute walk) for a pint of beer. Cheers!

A perfect place to stay on the peninsula. 15 mins drive to central Dunedin and 5 mins to Port Chalmers. Just a short walk down to Sawyers Bay. Beautiful views. The wee unit was very comfortable and clean and had everything we needed. I really appreciated having tea and coffee and milk provided. Thanks Trixie!

I stayed here in one of the coldest months of the year, and the room was a little cold at the beginning. However, Joyce was very helpful and and easy to talk to, and she provided an extra blanket, a better heater, and a winter cap which helped me immensely in coping with the temperature (in fact I didn't feel cold at all after that). Thank you so much.

This place is an absolute gem, I can nothing but recommend it. The moment you get into the apartment you are home away from home. Everything you need is just there. Special thanks for the breakfast items and super furbished kitchen 🙏. Communication with Antonia & Jo super easy and very friendly. Had a great time at iD Fashion, everything just in walking distance. For sure, I‘ll be back!

Die Unterkunft hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Die Wohnung ist sehr gross und mit allem was man braucht ausgestattet. Als Architekt hat mich die Ausgestaltung der Wohnung begeistert :-) Wir würden hier wieder buchen. Auch für längere Aufenthalte bestens geeignet. Die Kommunikation mit Antonia war sympathisch und gut. Die Vorabinformationen waren klar, die Zufahrt und selbst-check in somit problemlos. Die Lage ist perfekt, sehr zentral. Viele Sehenswürdigkeiten sind gut zu Fuss erreichbar.

Christine’s place was excellent for us, convenient for getting to our locations. No parking at the location, but easy enough to park on the street. Christine was very nice, we didn’t need anything from her but it would have been easy if we had.

This AirBnB is cosy, and very comfortable. It has everything one needs for a few days. Totally walkable to everything. And Hannah & Nick are the best hosts.

We were made to feel very welcome into Joanne's home. Joanne & Bryce were very friendly and easy to talk to. The breakfasts were great, and we could come and go at our leisure. Our bedroom, bathroom, and living room were clean and very spacious.

Gina is an incredibly thoughtful host who goes above and beyond for her guests. Her home is cozy and filled with character and warmth, and she gave the best recommendations for things to do in the area. Our one night stay was so much better than we expected! Thank you Gina!

We had the most wonderful time at Sally’s and Keri’s place. It is located in beautiful surroundings, lots of nature and places to visit the sea and take a walk. The hot tub should win an award for “most beautiful view from a hot tub”. With unmatched hospitality, great breakfast and the friendliest dog we can not recommend this place enough. Thank you so much for having us!

We had a great stays with Joan and Kevin, wonderful hospitality feel like home straightaway :) The house is modern and squeaky clean. Also, beautifully surroundings with the nature, wildlife and lake. We will definitely stay again next time :)

Nestled on a tranquil and peaceful mountain, surrounded by rolling grassland, built on a cliff with a stunning sea view which is accessible after climbing up a grassy slope behind, this place needs you to step outside to enjoy nature. We had a great sleep in the small cozy room. Besides basic breakfast, the owner, Greg, also provided us with freshly baked bread, which goes perfectly with butter and jam. His cat is super meek and gentle. Unfortunately, it was rainy and hazy the next day - no chance to see the sunrise from the seaside. The tunnel beach is temporarily closed, a bit of a bummer. However, it can be an option for escaping from city buzz, especially when the weather is nice.

Doug and Rose were really friendly and made us feel so welcome in their home. It can be awkward sharing space in someone's house but we found plenty in common and felt very comfortable.We had an awesome view from our bedroom window and really appreciated the bathroom so close to our room and the hall nightlight to find our way. When it rained on the Sunday morning we loved spending time in the living room reading books and looking out over the estuary. It was also great to be able to arrive slightly ahead of check in and to have a flexible checkout. An added bonus was getting to see Doug's band perform in Oamaru. We loved our stay and hope to be back again for another visit in the future.

We loved our stay with Ulrike and Manfred. Very personal, incredible breakfasts, picked us up and dropped us at the ferry, took us on a walk, recommended things to do on the island, attended to all our needs and were lovely to spend time with. Highly recommend a stay at Jensen House.
