What a wonderful peaceful place together away from it all. The walks and views were fantastic. Nature all around, swallows nesting and so special to see the dinosaurs footprints. Hillary gave us a warm welcome and we had a fantastic time, thank you!

The house is beautiful and spacious. It has everything you need. There is a washing machine, a dryer and a dishwasher. The view from the house is breathtaking and there is a clean small lake one can swim in just a few minutes from the house. There was a rock pool very close by but I understand that now it belongs to one of the properties so is not available for everyone’s use. There are so many activities in the area so we had busy packed days horse riding bird shows and vertical rush. Internet is not great. It was an absolute treat.

We took a spontaneous weekend away with friends, and the location was exactly what we needed. The house is situated deep in the central Drakensburg right, so the first thing you see as you walk into the house is the phenomenal vista. The house was extremely clean and modern. It’s difficult finding a house with both a swimming pool and a wood fired hot tub - so this was perfect! The Zebras came to greet us one of the morning. I was helped by Zaz who was extremely responsive explained everything clearly even allowed us a late checkout so we could a few final dips in the pool. We will definitely be back and would recommend this place to anyone interested in hiking and some quiet time.

This was the warmest place in Winterton that we have ever stayed in with my team. The house was absolutely clean and hospitable as described in the images. There is absolute safety, comfort and homely touch.

We had a lovely stay at Nerine’s place. The house was extremely clean and comfortable. There was nice decor, very comfortable beds, and all amenities as described. We walked to two great restaurants for dinner and breakfast. Nerine was very nice and responsive in her communications and her caretaker was also very nice, easy to reach and helpful. We’d highly recommend Nerine’s place to other travelers!

We stayed here as a large family group (adults and kids). It worked well for our group and it was great that each room upstairs had its own en-suite. The photos are accurate to what you get. The place was cleaned daily. The views are stunning and it’s a short drive into town for the restaurants. Would definitely return.

Een geweldig groot en luxe vakantiehuis met schitterend uitzicht op de Drakensbergen. De slaapkamers zijn ruim en smaakvol ingericht met goede bedden en eigen badkamer, sommigen met vloerverwarming. Mooie keuken en gezellige woonkamer. Geweldig terras! Er is een goed onderhouden grote tuin met zwembad bij. Vriendelijk personeel. We zouden hier wel een week willen zitten. Op het terrein een golfbaan en een goed restaurant met uitstekend buffet.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the "Quaint 2-Bed, 2-Bath Self-Cater" guest apartment in Ladybrand, and I found it to be a comfortable choice for a short stay, whether for one night or a couple of nights. The convenience of parking right in front of the door added to the ease of our visit, and we felt very safe throughout our time in the accommodation. Our host was exceptionally friendly and provided numerous recommendations that greatly enhanced our stay and made our onward journey more enjoyable. Their attentiveness truly made a difference. It is worth mentioning that the roads in the surrounding suburbs, including the road leading to the AirBnB, are unfortunately in poor condition due to potholes. However, this issue is beyond the host's control and should not detract from the overall positive experience we had at the apartment. Thank you for a lovely stay!

We had a great stay and loved our time in Winterton. Savannah was really helpful with our check in and Willem was on hand to assist with any requests we had. We would recommend this stay to anyone who would like to explore the area as it is wonderfully situated. We hope to be back in the future.

It was an absolutely wonderful stay here! It made us feel so spoiled and special. The hosts are wonderful and provided us with a whole guide to the area. Definitely worth staying here if you enjoy the peace and quiet 🙌

McFab farm stay is a lovely rustic farm house, off the beaten track and very peaceful. There is little to do in the area and the nearest two is roughly 40 minutes away so be prepared to relax. The house has all the hallmarks of a farm, wooden floor, stone walls but is well appointed with everything one may need for a short or long stay. Remember to bring all you need food/ drinks / condiments wise but they have a gas stove and fridge with all the cutlery and plates one would need. They have good selection of books and there are some walking trails to be found in and around the farm, great mountain biking and some fishing at nearby river. I would recommend this stay for people wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life, away from cellphones ( very limited signal at the property ) and get in touch with country/ farm living.

Great overnight stay and had everything that we needed. Very clean and comfortable. Lisa was there to meet us on arrival and was very friendly and helpful.

From the moment you arrive, you are met with majestic mountains. The space is well maintained and spacious. Great for families. So incredibly quiet and peaceful. Lots of local birds pop in to visit. Good hikes in the area. Pack an extra torch as the power can sometimes go out, but there is a gas stove and small backup inverter. Worth a visit!
