The hobbit hole was magic! Exactly what I needed. The more time you spent there the more you realised how much time and thought had been poured into it. Sheryn was so warm and friendly, going out of her way to pick me some fresh fruit! Would love to return at some point! Would highly recommend to anyone who needs some time out.

We stayed at Pumice during the off-season for Okahune, so the vibes may be a bit different during the Winter months, but our stay was super relaxing. Pumice is obviously gorgeous and the design was well-crafted. The kitchen has everything you'd need to cook a meal (we cooked thrice). The shower is lovely and I'm sure the heated floors only get better in the winter months. Evan is super helpful and kind - don't hesitate to reach out if you have concerns during your stay. Okahune in the off-season doesn't have a lot going on, but you should still check out the Carrot park - it was a highlight of our stay as we just kind of stumbled upon it. There is also a small disc golf course within a 5 minute walk if you're into that. Be sure to grab a latte while you're in NZ - I feel like every place we went made the best latte I've ever had and the little store in Okahune was no exception. Grab an eclaire while you're there.

Absolutely fantastic stay at the Hobbit House, so much character and charm in such a small space! The location is stunning, very peaceful. Hosts amazing, explained everything and went above and beyond - lit the fire for us to enjoy on arrival as we had been hiking all day. Ponies are gorgeous and enjoyed spending time meeting them. Very clean and tidy. Definitely recommend.

A very comfortable house, with such good vibes, welcoming from the off! A fabulous view to contemplate over a wine and dinner in the evenings. Communication with Rachel was easy before and during our stay. She was very accommodating. We recomment you tap into her wealth of knowledge regarding the local area. Loved every minute of our stay. The scenery is captivating as the houses are nestled at the base of Orowhana, facing directly towards Te Kohuroa. The hot tub was a hit, we kayaked, made pizza, enjoyed the fruit trees and fire place. Hamish, te kaitiaki, was very accomodating and helpful. The beds are comfy, and the kitchen has everything you need. Also loved that every wharepaku had bidets! I could spend weeks, months or even years here haha. It has all the things you need for an incredibly rejuvenating glamping/retreat. We will definitely be back.

We loved our time here. Sharlene was helpful and we had no problems finding the house or while we were there The kitchen was supplied with so many extras including basic food items and cooking equipment etc. All the bedrooms were super comfortable and overall we felt totally at home. A special family time for us all. It rained the whole time we were there but we embraced the quiet and loved the bird life. A family of Tuis in the enormous Puriri tree kept us entertained! I would totally recommend to anyone.

A very peaceful place to stay whatever the weather. We were there when a cyclone came near Coromandel and the inside of the house stayed warm and dry (especially with the help of the wood stove). There were comfortable sofas for extended reading binges. Even showering outside in the rain was nice!

The Bird Nest is a lovely private getaway with amazing views. Rose laid out very clear instructions on how to get there and how to check in, however it’s a little difficult to locate at night driving up the dirt road, of course unavoidable. But the neighbors kindly pointed us to the next house. Definitely spend as much time as you can on the amazing deck with a book or glass of wine. Even in the rain the whole stay we had a very peaceful time. Just a note that the bathroom is disjointed from the main studio but the two doors are immediately next to one another so it wasn’t a problem for us. Would recommend 10/10!
