The air BnB was very clean and had all the amenities a family could ask for, very nice location on a beautiful secluded lot. The hot tub was one of the nicest hot tubs I’ve been in. Slate pool table kept us entertained for hours. Fully stocked kitchen was very nice has everything we need to cook breakfast in the morning. The water pressure was awesome and water got hot quickly! Overall we had a great experience and will be back in the future! I strongly recommend this Airbnb! It comfortably slept 8 people and we had a great time!

Absolutely loved Bourbon Barrel cottages! Beautiful setting out in the rolling hills of Kentucky. Lose to distilleries and restaurants yet out far enough to enjoy the peace and quiet. Angie was out every day tending to the beautiful landscaping. They even offer fresh eggs on-site. Book this place next time you’re in bourbon country, you won’t be disappointed!

John’s cabin was perfect for our family. It had more than we needed to make us feel right at home and live comfortably for a few days. We enjoyed the big porch and the beautiful, quiet scenery. This cabin is such a little hidden gem and we would love to stay again! If you have the chance to stay here then book this cabin!

What a lovely place!! We needed a little peace and quiet & that’s exactly what we got. Fishing was so much fun & much of the gear was provided. Amenities & necessities were spot on, and the house was super clean & so charming. The hot tub was the icing on the cake! Definitely going on our favorites list!

I visited here with my two friends and we haven’t been able to stop talking about it since. I can’t wait to come back here. The property is beautiful. The hot tub is perfectly set up to view a stunning sunset. The area was also very quiet. The inside is so unique and inviting. Very very clean and fantastic layout!

My boyfriend and I stayed here for his birthday and to do the bourbon trail. This cabin was absolutely gorgeous, clean, and in a great location. Secluded enough to enjoy the peace and quiet, but close enough to everything we wanted to do during our stay. Brooklyn was a wonderful host and was great at communicating. We were even able to check in early. My boyfriend and I both agree that this is our favorite AirBNB we’ve ever stayed at!

It’s hard to leave a place that is literally your dream home, and this cabin was that! Myself, my father, and a few friends had an amazing 2 night stay here, enjoying the still peacefulness of the property, or having a cup of coffee on the deck. We also enjoyed a nice walk in the woods directly behind the property! I would highly recommend this airbnb to anyone, and I will definitely be back!

What a great peaceful retreat, not too far away from Louisville. Great to relax with the birds chirping around us and not much else to disturb us! The place had a wide open but warm feel letting in plenty of light during the day. We enjoyed hanging outside on the deck and also took short hikes into the woods alongside the creek - which were so peaceful and nice. The master bedroom was cozy as well to relax in and watch movies. John was very accommodating to meet all of our needs!

We had a great time . Lauren was a great host. Excellent communication. We stayed during "generational" rain and flooding in Kentucky. Many distilleries were even closed. Lauren was in contact with us. She even reached out to neighbors as an option if we got in a bind. Even though we didn't need help, it was great peace of mind. We will definitely stay here again. Close to many distilleries. Very private

Great place to relax after a long day of sipping bourbon. Out in the country with great vistas of the farm land. The wrap around porch always offers a calm side from any wind. Enjoyed watching the long horns. Restaurants were a bit sparse in the area but we had no problem picking up groceries on the way back from bourbon tasting and then cooking a nice meal in the cabin.

Really enjoyed our stay it’s so quiet and relaxing having the lake a few steps away it’s really nice. The house has a very welcoming feeling it’s great. Anytime we’re back in the area we will definitely plan to stay at Josie’s.

This is the second time I’ve stayed at the airbnb and the hosts are always very welcoming and friendly. It’s a small area, but perfect for 2 and the view is just as perfect whether it’s morning, afternoon, or night. I stayed with my wife this time around and everything was very sweet and set up for us; wine glasses in the bedroom, incense and candles, dessert in the small fridge, even a percolator with coffee available for the morning. Joy, their dog, meets you when you enter and when you leave. He’s a bit loud but friendly and will play fetch if you give him the chance but won’t bring the ball back to you; that would be too easy lol. They looked up some places for potential canoeing or kayaking for us prior to our arrival and were always available as they also stay ion the property in the adjoining section of the house; but also allowed us privacy when outside resting from your trip in. Always a pleasure to stay with them and would recommend to any couple.

Beautiful cozy cabin. Well decorated and furnished. Lovely well equipped kitchen. Easy to access right off the highway and 15 minutes to Lexington. We would definitely stay again.

My wife and I needed a short getaway to bourbon country. Growing up on a large farm, I felt right at home at this cabin. We are for sure coming back.

We really enjoyed our stay. The house and location were perfect for us. Julie was so helpful and fun. She gave our kids food to feed their animals, allowed them to go to their home and see their new chicks and she visited us to give us plenty of great ideas of things to do in the area. We tried many of those ideas and her suggestions were great. We would love to stay at her place again.
