This place was incredible and my favorite Airbnb booking thus far. Any amenity you can think of was provided at this establishment- including bandaids. Check-in and check-out was extremely smooth- no waiting on the host to let you in. The apartment was immaculately clean, spacious, and he even provided extra blankets which was a nice touch. The heated bathroom floors and stocked laundry room was definitely an added bonus. You are also in walking distance to the mall and local pharmacy. Parking maybe a little tricky if you get in real late (chasing Northern lights) but other than that this location is perfect! I highly recommend booking here for your Iceland stay and I'll definitely book it again when I revisit Iceland.

Pétur's place was perfect. It is like 20 minutes to downtown. There is a grocery store within walking distance. Cozy and perfect. We spent all evening listening to music and sitting on the couch, recounting our adventures. When we had a scare with parking, Pétur responded almost instantly (despite it being almost midnight). He left books on the table with information and recommendations for all of Iceland. I can not reccomend Pétur and his home enough.

Our staying was great! The house was cozy, clean and very warm! We even saw aurora from our window! The hosts were very friendly and sweet and helped us in everything we needed! The staircase is a bit steep, but they even helped us with our luggages! It is a ten minute ride to the centre of Reykjavik! We would stay there again! Thank you very much for the hospitality!

Good landing spot to get around the capital and also other places in Iceland. We were happy that the laundry area was available and getting the window open for breakfast bacon smells to go out. Nice host to boot too made for a good stay.

Lea has a very beautiful home in the business district of Reykjavik. We definitely felt right at home while staying at her apartment. We really enjoyed the amenities that were offered there, and made or stay enjoyable. I wish it was right in downtown Reykjavik but I also am happy it is not because my husband and I were able to see other parts of Reykjavik that not as many tourists go to visit. Because of that, we felt we were getting a very authentic experience of the city “away” from all of the touristy stops in downtown. The drive to downtown is not bad at all! We explored both locations. Many grocery stores within 2 mins distance and still lots of shops to see. Satsuma is an adorable cat with a lot of personality. She is very short and tiny compared to our Scottish fold back home. She is funny because she will let you know when she wants to hang out outside on the deck. She would only go if we went with. We loved our stay here and appreciate the hospitality! Thank you so much!

This might be the best Airbnb we've ever stayed in!! We used Reykyavik as a base and stayed here for 9 nights and we're so glad we did. Incredible apartment in a perfect location for exploring the city and near a bus stop if you're doing tours. We even managed to see the northern lights right from the window! The decor is stylish and cosy and we loved all the little musical and arty details. Really great hosts and very accommodating. Finally... the bed!! so comfy! Highly recommend.

Beautiful home! Spacious and clean, perfect for my group of 5. The plentiful decor was tasteful and living room is cozy with large couch. Location was quiet and private, conveniently near a Bonus, and close to major highways. The space is well stocked: Whether you need laundry related products, extra pasta sauce, quality coffee machine, etc you can find it. Would highly recommend for a cozy stay, truly like a home away from home.

La sistemazione e’ stata quanto di meglio potessimo aspettarci. La casa consente di ospitare 7/8 persone in un ambiente accogliente, caldo e ben arredato, con una cucina fornitissima di tutto quello che può servire. Due bei bagni con doccia molto puliti e forniti di molti asciugamani. La titolare è stata molto premurosa nel contattarci per fornirci in anticipo tutte le indicazioni utili e molti suggerimenti su quanto poteva offrire il circondario. Selfoss e’ un’ottima base per visitare la parte sud dell’Islanda e la casa e’ in una zona tranquilla, qualche kilometro fuori città, attigua ad un allevamento di cavalli, ma allo stesso tempo molto comoda a tutti i servizi utili per gli approvvigionamenti quotidiani. L’esperienza vissuta è stata eccellente.

Great location, close to the golden circle. We were able to see the northern lights right at backyard. The two cats are cute and friendly. Sigmar was very responsive!

Great place for a family with small kids. Spacious and in a quiet neighborhood. Kids enjoyed the trampoline and other toys. Host was flexible with check in and efficient/accommodating even though previous guests checked out a bit late.

Nice house in in good area, a lot of space and light. Many games and toys for kids! 10 min by walk to the bus terminal.

Absolutely fantastic stay in Iceland! This house was truly a home away from home. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by how well-stocked and thoughtfully prepared everything was. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook full meals, which was a huge plus considering the cost of eating out in Iceland. The living area was cozy and perfect for relaxing after long days of exploring. The bedrooms were comfortable, and the linens were nice. We loved having access to the washing machine and dryer. The Wi-Fi was strong and reliable, and the smart TV was great for winding down in the evenings. The location was ideal for exploring Golden Circle and South Coast. We found it easy to access local shops and restaurants, and the neighborhood was peaceful and quiet. Overall, this Airbnb exceeded our expectations. Logement très confortable sur Selfoss. La décoration est soignée, tout est fait pour qu’on s’y sente bien, la literie est parfaite. Bon emplacement pour les visites du Sud/Sud-Ouest de l’Islande.

Gudbjartur's home was lovely and he was very responsive everything we reached out! He even let us check in early from our red eye flight the night before! His home was clean and the location was excellent. close to Reykjavik but on the outskirts to leave early to see sights to the south. All in all, a great stay!

Seven minutes drive to downtown Reykjavík. Great parking at the church for the cheapest parking price in town and incredibly secure. Average price was about half price or better of any hotel downtown. Savings allowed me to have a rental car and do some of my own touring. Parking was great on site at the apartment. Very clean building and facilities. YouTube was great for learning how to use the stove and wash washer/dryer.

Super communicative! Gave us an early check in as our flight had arrived earlier than intended- was always fast with response! He even gave recommendations when asked and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay! Super nice and highly recommend- I’d stay again if I came back :)

We had a wonderful time in this cozy apartment. It was a nice location to be outside the city but have easy access to main roads and shops. We chose this place as it was walking distance to our friends' house. Heba's decor is very pleasing and the kitchen had everything we needed. The space is well designed for relaxation and practicality. It was easy to park our rental car in the driveway.

Styrmir’s house was beautiful and was everything we needed on our trip. It was conveniently located by several grocery stores, not to mention being very close to the city center. It also had very easy access to the major highways out of Reykjavik, making day trips extremely easy. Styrmir was one of the most helpful and communicative hosts. He was a font of incredibly helpful information and continuously checked in to see how we were doing. The cats in the house were one of the best parts. They were super cute, extremely friendly, and made the stay that much more enjoyable. We would absolutely recommend this to anyone and would definitely stay here again!

We had a great stay in Selfoss. The condo is tucked into a complex of sorts. There is a playground very close which was great for our kids. The condo was very cozy, clean and comfortable. We were out sightseeing most of our time and this was a great “home base”. Not much to see right around the condo but that didn’t bother us. The condo had everything we needed and more. Thanks for a great stay!!

Our family of four stayed 6 days at Margret’s apartment. It was equipped with everything we needed - the small commodities like coffee and tea bags, salt and pepper were very nice to see. The local sweets left by the host were a nice gesture too :). The apartment was spacious enough for the 4 of us to stay comfortably. The host is extremely responsive. All of my messages were responded to within minutes. When I mentioned that the kettle wasn't working on the evening of our first day, it was left by the door early next day. There were some crumbs on the wardrobe shelves and some dog hair (I think) in some places but that didn't bother us. We just cleaned it with the available equipment and detergents. We'd definitely stay there again if we were returning to Iceland.

Hurnd and Davio’s place had a modern Scandinavian flair and it came with a well equipped open kitchen which connects to a dining room where 6-8 people can dine comfortably. The living room is so cozy as well and there were unblocked view for sunrise and sunset everyday, we really enjoyed our time experiencing Icelandic nature and there are also some outdoor seatings to get some fresh air. There were the two of us staying this time and the main purpose was for work. As we had some free time we did make use of the #14 bus which is just 2 mins walk from the apartment and runs to the city center and big church. The grocery is also just 15 mins walk away. Hrund even left us a personal message and she ensured our stay was hassle free with explanation of how the trash is sorted. The toilet was really nicely designed too and you can always count on the geothermal water coming out from the tap for a nice hot shower. We would definitely stay with Hrund and Davio again in the future!

Amazing apartment, large, airy with terrace for kids to play. Very clean with huge TV and comfortable sectional. Convenient location, playground right in front of the door. Easy road access.
