This is a great camp ground with wonderful nature trails and accessible necessities like kitchen, toilets and shower if you need them. But also a place to rough it if you want to. I was a first time camper learning the ropes with a friend and I felt like it was just a great place to get started. Thanks joe!

The yurt itself is very small and rustic, but with a sturdy bed, warm linens, and a nice view out the window. The walk to the common spaces is short and easy, leading through some beautiful gardens to get to the sauna/bathhouse/kitchen/firepit/parking area. The bathhouse and kitchen were clean, heated, spacious, and comfortable. Kyle had small, electric lanterns stored in the kitchen for our nighttime use, which was a lovely touch. We loved making a fire and counting the stars, and appreciated the friendliness and respectfulness of the other guests in the space. There are lots of great places nearby to eat and drink, and we loved being so close to so many trailheads and the entrance to Minnewaska State Park for hiking. We hope to come back soon!

This place exceeded our expectations from the listing! Kyle & staff were very friendly & helpful when it came to questions we had during the checkin/checkout process. Firewood was stocked on the facility, so we were easily able to set up the fire pit for communal use. We stayed in the south yurt, which had a gas heating stove (not wooded). It kept us really toasty during the cold weather this past weekend (at night it was 30-40 °F). I’m glad we got the yurt with heating. The sauna was also a wonderful touch to the facility for the cold weather. Showers & bathrooms were very clean. We didn’t cook that much during our stay, but the communal kitchen had many appliances & utensils, for those who planned to cook. Would 100% recommend this location for a nice getaway.

What a gem of a place! My husband, our dog, and I camped on Joe’s property over the long weekend and it could not have been more perfect. We chose the campsite up the hill at the pond, and the view was gorgeous. It was secluded and much better than your typical crowded campgrounds, but still close enough to the clean outdoor shower, kitchen and composite toilet to enjoy the amenities he offers. The site had a picnic table and fire pit for an added bonus, and our dog spent hours swimming in the pond. The location was perfect for exploring the larger Ithaca and Finger Lakes region. I cannot say enough great things about this place, do not hesitate to book this stay!

Such a cool place! My girlfriend & I found this last minute and we were glad to have. So many beautiful acres of rolling hills tucked away about 30 minutes away from downtown Ithaca. We stayed in a tent right near a gently flowing creek. All the amenities listed are all quality and thoughtfully created - recommend this stay if you are trying to camp with much more isolation and tranquility than your typical campground.

What a gem of a spot! The yurt was so peaceful - waking up to the sound of the creek, the smell of the wood-burning stove, leaves rustling, and birds chirping; nature at its finest. Such a great spot for the perfect weekend getaway. The yurt itself was cozy, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed for comfort. The wood-burning stove kept it warm and inviting, making it the perfect retreat after a day of exploring. The rustic yet charming décor added to the experience, and the skylight was a fantastic touch - falling asleep under the stars and waking up to soft morning light was magical. The space was well-stocked with everything we needed while still allowing us to unplug and enjoy the simplicity of nature. There’s so much to enjoy, not only in the yurt but in the local area as well. The hospitality that Hillsgrove offers is delightful. The Hillsgrove Hotel, the Mercantile, and the High Knob Inn are all worth visiting for good food and good drinks.

Expect a calm, intimate space for rest and relaxation surrounded by nature. The owners practice a truly holistic lifestyle which very much reflects in the impressive area they’ve built and the overall experience, lending to its authenticity. This airbnb is for people who enjoy nature, hiking, dogs (there are two on the premise) and generally disconnecting. If you’re not looking for this, it may not be the place for you. If you do find it appealing — this place will definitely deliver. The owners were also great and responsive to any requests and recommendations.

The yurt was awesome. The property is meticulously maintained; we drove our sedan down the gravel drive with no issues. In fact, it was smoother driving than many of the county roads we drove over to get there. The pond is lovely, and the amenities are great. There are two Adirondack chairs and a fire pit waiting for you to enjoy just outside your door. During our stay firewood was available, but we didn’t take advantage because the weather was a little too cool and windy. The bathroom features a full tub/shower with an on-demand water heater, so there’s no running out of hot water. The bed is very comfortable, and the mini-split heat pump keeps the space’s temperature pleasant and steady. Mia is a great host and easy to communicate with. The location is also fantastic; ~15 minutes from New Paltz, Minnewaska, and several breweries. We would stay here again.

Great and spacious place, with many amenities. Offers an amazing view of the stars! Located a fairly quick drive from various towns. Throughly enjoyed our short but sweet stay!

We had an unforgettable stay at this yurt nestled in the heart of the woods. The peaceful surroundings and the cozy setup made it the perfect retreat to disconnect and reconnect with nature. The yurt itself was beautifully maintained, clean, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. What really stood out was how responsive and kind the host was. From the moment we booked, they communicated clearly and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Their warm hospitality truly made us feel welcome and taken care of throughout our stay. If you're looking for a serene escape with hosts who genuinely whole heartedly care, this is the place to be.

We stayed in yurt #5. It was such a great experience and we hope to come back again! We also enjoyed having a drink on the dock right in the water. We highly recommend this place.

Great stay in a unique yurt was a fun way to spend a night, the location is great. This is a lodge that has other types of lodging and a restaurant on site. We did not eat in it but it was quite popular the night we were there. We would definitely stay there again.

What an incredible place to stay! We stayed in one of the yurts, which was a fun experience, but the beautiful plum color of the lodges and restaurants was just as charming to look at. The view was incredible and it was so pleasant just to sit on the dock and rest by the water.

The yurt was the perfect escape from reality. The views were absolutely breathtaking and truly was a one of a kind experience. Martin was a very accommodating host and I will definitely be making another visit.
