The chalet was beautiful and very well equipped, and in such a pretty and peaceful location. Easy access to numerous walks, by the water, through countryside, to a beautiful park, through the mariner, or to the train station. (We left our car at the chalet and caught the train to Lowestoft a beautiful scenic journey and so easy.) We love listening to birds and we got to hear so many new ones on the walk through the marshes not even 2 minutes away. And found the Ivy Hotel, which is a great place for lunch. The swimming pool was nice too. Sonya was a great host, very quick with responses. Also a lovely surprise with milk, tea,coffee, sugar, salt pepper all for us to use. ☺️As well as a basket of goodies. Our dog loved his treats too. 🐶 Definitely hope to return again some day. 🤞🤩

Had a fantastic stay. The cottage was just like a home from home. The garden like something straight from the secret garden book! Wanda was extremely welcoming of our dogs! Would highly recommend

The Mizzen is peaceful, very spacious and extremely well located to enjoy all the many treats Southwold has in store.

We spent a really enjoyable Easter break with the family at this property. It's a lovely house in a peaceful location and has been tastefully renovated and decorated throughout with the highlight being the open plan kitchen which forms the hub of the house. The property is very conveniently located for both the Pier and the shops and other amenities in Southwold. Emma was an excellent host and was very helpful and quick in responding to questions.

The cottage is really lovely, peaceful and quiet. It is very comfortable and really clean, with good amenities. It is by the church which gives a lovely view, and is very close to the town centre with a good variety of good restaurants. I can especially recommend Meze Grill Turkish Restaurant - booking is recommended, certainly at weekends when we went. All in all, Hermione's cottage is a lovely place to stay, and recommended.

I chose the house for practical reasons as I needed be near to an elderly parent over Christmas. It was actually bigger than I expected and it was lovely to find a house so clean and tidy; and thoughtfully organised, ordered and equipped. Trevor's responses and suggestions were excellent – and the fact he'd got milk in was a godsend as my father found he'd run out after the shop closed. Altogether, it was like a real home from home. The house is an easy walk from the main centre of Orford and although as a city-dweller, I found the lack of street-lighting disconcerting when walking back at night, the traffic was light and never fast. The children's festive service in St Bartholomew's on Dec 25th was beyond delightful, and there was a warm welcome (and free drinks!) in the pub next door to the churchyard afterwards. I already know the village and enjoyed rediscovering some excellent walks and spending time looking at the boats on the quay. Altogether a relaxing, stress-free experience.

Great place to stay, Linda wzs able to update the changes we needed straight away, and responded immediately. The lads were impressed with accommodation, it was very homely.

Had a fabulous week exploring Ipswich and Suffolk; this is a great base from which to visit a multitude of places and so much variety from Jimmy's Farm to World War 2 collections to falconry and kayaking to Saxon and medieval history; the furthest we drove was 40 miles. Excellent apartment with interesting views and Kie was a superb host - he met us at the apartment and also messaged during the week to check that everything was ok. Very happy to recommend this apartment and will definitely be visiting again in the future.

David was very responsive and helpful. Great little place in a convenient location, lots of stuff nearby. Be aware access to parking space really tight but doable unless you have a big car. Not a problem for me but might be for others!

We loved this place, brilliant wrap around veranda, spacious airy rooms, peaceful but with most of the appliances from home...even a tv in the bedroom! The kitchen is great but if you don't fancy cooking there is the hotel 10 mins walk away with two bars serving food and if you go after 7pm you can call for a shuttle to take you there and back for free. It's like getting a lovely break in the country with tv, WiFi and a pub/ restaurant nearby if you get bored of all the nature! The staff at the hotel were lovely and the food was great.

We stayed here with our 2 children and our dogs . It was absolutely perfect . We had a wedding just a 4 minute walk from the caravan . We had come down from North Yorkshire and after a long drive it was lovely to come to such a clean , tidy along with everything you possibly needed. Just to say that Helen was a very kind and helpful host. Highly recommend to anyone . Thankyou so much . We really enjoyed our stay at Helen’s place !

A very peaceful and tranquil place to stay overlooking open countryside. Beautiful walks from the doorstep. Well equipped kitchen with a great selection of books and DVDs for a quiet evening in. plenty of tea/coffee/milk etc and lovely clean towels and bedding. Great resource of things to do with maps on your doorstep and a-joining villages. The accommodation was spotless and very comfortable. Laurie and Lucy are very friendly. Highly recommended

We had a great stay, the accommodation had everything you need and was very clean and warm, there was also some provisions left for breakfast. Set in a lovely location, we did not get to meet Viv but Richard was very nice and helpful. Will definitely go back, thank you for a lovely stay.

Great little place next to river, friendly hosts thank Mark and Jan. Our dog enjoyed all the local and beach walks. Had fun with the canoe on the river.

Our hosts where very lovely and went out of their way to make our stay great. It was just right has we where going to the near by race track for the weekend.Our hosts also helped with sorting things out for my disabled daughter.

Such a lovely stay, close to lots of beaches. Beautiful walks nearby and nice private space. Took my doggy and we had a great time! Suzy recommended some lovely things and was always quick with responding if I had any queries. Would definitely recommend to friends and family

Our stay at Pond View was peaceful and relaxing. Access to the site was easy but secure. The accommodation was just right. And Christopher was a great host.

Small but perfectly formed! Perfect for our overnight stay whilst in the area for the weekend house hunting. It had everything we needed for a comfortable night after a very tiring day. The teacakes and a cuppa were most appreciated when we arrived! Our dog was made welcome too, with treats and water bowl which was a lovely thoughtful touch. Check in was extremely straightforward. My husband was over the moon at the fact he could wander across the road and see all the planes outside the aviation museum! It was a shame The Buck Inn has closed, but Sarah's recommendation of The Fleece Inn in Bungay was excellent.

Me and my wife stayed here for New Year’s Eve. We wanted. Change from the house party vibe, and stumbled across this lovely place. Annetta is a lovely host, very friendly and was happy to help if needed. We enjoyed the location, such a wonderful house surrounded by countryside. The jacuzzi was amazing! We looked at the stars while sipping champagne from our wedding a few months back. What more do you want! Would definitely recommend! Thanks for the hospitality Annetta! All the best Luke & Addie x

A fantastic apartment right in the heart of town. We booked very last minute (on the day!) after deciding to make the most of a sunny day trip and was lucky to find availability for Kay’s place at the start of the Easter school holidays. Price was reasonable for a last minute booking in peak season. It was lovely and would make a great base for a longer stay. Beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, comfy bed and powerful hot shower. We didn’t use the kitchen but there was tea and coffee and useful condiments (salt, pepper, ketchup) in the cupboard, which would have been good for longer stays. Check in and out was easy. Would definitely recommend.

We had a wonderful long Easter weekend at this apartment, booked easily even though it was very last minute due to being let down by another owner. Thank you to Caroline for being so helpful and super responsive. The location is perfect to explore Felixstowe on foot and it’s handy having private off-road parking. We played mini-golf, ate out at some great spots, used the huge park down the road, went to the arcades on the pier and swam at the leisure centre just across the road. The space is beautiful, spacious, clean and we had everything that we needed, and more. Clear instructions and helpful information on the pre-arrival details too. Our daughters didn’t want to leave! We’d love to return again.
