Our family had a lovely stay at Peter's place over New Year. The agents were very responsive and the house itself was warm and welcoming. It was decorated for Christmas which was a nice touch. It is located close to a nice pub and there's lots of grocery shopping options and a nice steak restaurant about 5 minutes walk away. We didn't use the garden due to the weather but it is enclosed and would be great for young children. There's also a cute little playground right opposite the house. We really enjoyed our stay.

great location for station, easy accommodation for short stay

Perfect stay for a large group wishing to have both a taste of rural Scotland and the bright lights of the city! Great house for large groups with more than adequate cooking facilities. Excellent hot tub that was kept meticulously clean. The hosts were amazing and so helpful with helping me organise a stag weekend. Sharing local knowledge and recommendations of activities and hostelries, etc. Milngavie is a perfect location to explore both Glasgow city (20 minute train ride) and hit the start of the West Highland Way! Milngavie was a nice little town itself with an active high street and a good Tesco and station just a 3 minute walk from Pleasant Hill. We really enjoyed Fullbacks sports bar as well- good value food and an atmosphere. Activities we enjoyed from Pleasant Hill were a walk to Glengoyne Distillery, afternoon and night out in West End Glasgow and a speed boat pub tour of Loch Lomond! Thanks again Chris!

We arrived in the evening and it was great to have the apartment lights and heating already on. A nice welcome! The apartment is modern and well equipped. It is very clean and furnishings and decor are tastefully done. We had a wonderful stay and plan to revisit later this year. Thank you!

The place felt like home away from home… everything was perfect and intact, my family had a good time with no complain whatsoever. The Furnitures, utensils and amenities were perfectly fitted for our stay. The environment is calm and peaceful…

Stayed here for the long weekend and couldn’t fault anything! We got a lovely surprise after telling Colene last minute about my birthday, this is something we really appreciated 🥰 the place itself is amazing, so peaceful and lovely to see all of the animals around too. We stayed here a few years ago but loved it so much we returned. Happy to report it was still a great place to say. So much space that a group of 12 (6 kids) could disappear into their own spaces or gather together for meals and games. East access to city or countryside. The castle is very well equipped and beds are comfortable. Hope this was not our last visit.
