Sometimes you stay in places that are nice but you think your home is nicer, so it’s all a bit pointless. Well, not this place. The cabin is tastefully decorated, with small touches that have been thought through and considered - like the choice of books (not often you see Jumpa Lahiri in a collection!), the lighting, the comfy bed, the shower, etc. It’s all fabulous. The brook outside is soothing and the surrounding walks are beautiful. I’d love to come back in the autumn, when the leaves are turning and we get to light the wood burner. It’s rare that I get the ‘moving out of London’ fantasies - but this place certainly made me have a few!

We really enjoyed our stay, the pod (pod 2) accommodation was fantastic and fitted our needs as a family of 4, with brilliant views that could be enjoyed from the hot tub. The onsite play park for kids was unexpected but really good and there was plenty of other space for them to play too. We didn't pay attention to which pod we had booked but there are different internal layouts and orientations/locations on the site so something we will be aware of next time we come.

Just as described lovely private airbnb, within driving distance to amenities and restaurants. Peaceful surroundings and great facilities.

We stayed in Luke’s accommodation for my wife’s 40th - from the off Luke was extremely responsive and helpful when planning where to eat and where to walk locally, with lots of recommendations. The pesto at the peacock was a 10 minute drive and a restaurant we can’t wait to return to. The accommodation was easy to find, quiet and secluded. Exactly as described and shown in the photos. The garden area was a sun trap and fantastic place to relax, with the hot tub also a nice touch. We would definitely return and thank Luke for the hospitality.

We found Wigwam listings after scrolling through loads on Airb&b. The place was absolutely stunning. Inside the cabin was lovely and clean. Hot tub was lite before we arrived. The only small thing I would say that the bbq could do with a good clean and fixing up as we had trouble keeping the bottom door closed. Heather was great in meeting us outside and showing us around. Great at responding to messages. I would return again for a long weekend get away.

A lovely little place to stay. Nice and peaceful and relaxing. Very clean and spacious and the hot tub was well maintained. Ruth was very helpful and always on hand if needed.

Really comfy beds, and lovely inside fire. The outside cooking areas is amazing. Steve put a fire on for us for our return from a wet day at Alton towers which was a lovely touch. Great stay in a beautiful location.

Ray was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed, and was on hand should we have any issue. The lodge is so peaceful and quiet, but very easy to access a lot of places to visit. Would definitely stay here again

Pheasant lodge was the perfect stopover stay, the night before a wedding at the local Peckforton Castle! The lodge was situated at the bottom of the Bickerton Poacher Pub campsite in a corner which added to the private feel! In addition to the lodge being great the actual pub at the top of the campsite was fantastic too, we had a great evening meal a 1min walk (if that) from our doorstep! To check in we just headed into the pub where we were greeted by Grace, who was fantastic! She showed us to the lodge and it was clean and well kept, even better than described! My family (including a 5month old) stayed and it was perfect, an added bonus of having a bath as well as shower for the baby! There were so many added touches too, toiletries in the rooms, towels provided, teabags ect, we were very impressed and surprised by this! We were actually disappointed that we were only staying for one night as it was such a lovely place, we would have loved a little bit more time to explore!

Just done two nights here and had a great time (2 young adults and a dog). Very good value price wise, exactly as seen on pictures, enclosed space for the dog, black out curtains and underfloor heating are a great touch. Downfall was no where to walk with the dog without driving somewhere as we were not comfortable walking on the windy roads with no footpath and the Cinderella toilet took some getting used to for the both of us. Overall would definitely recommend!

Stopped off here for the night for the zoo in the morning. Maureen was very nice and really helpful with directions. Also gave us some historical insight into the zoo. Great host. Great biscuits aswell! Thank Maureen for a lovely stay.

Hands down one of the best stays we’ve ever had. Rod and Victoria have done an amazing job with the cabin and it just ticked all the boxes. You couldn’t ask for a better location sat between the water and the lovely horses behind us. How nice it was to be sat round the fire pit watching the boats go by tucking into some sausages from the BBQ. The little touches really made the place feel like home. The fresh bread and butter. The outstanding marmalade to accompany a nice cup of tea with some milk 😊 and the hot chocolate, biscuits and marshmallows sure did go down a treat with the kids! They provided all the fire wood we needed for the night so we could get the wood burner going which made the cabin feel lovely and toasty. They also gave you some feed for the animals which was such an experience for the kids and they loved it. Super friendly hosts with great communication. Easy and accurate directions to follow. What a beautiful and peaceful retreat! We have just spent an incredible long weekend at Warren Bothy with our dog and really enjoyed the stunning views & local walks. The ‘bothy’ is cosy, charming and rustic - a perfect private back-to-basics escape from the busy everyday. We’re already looking forward to staying again. Thanks Jack & co

We just loved it here. The accommodation was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The heaters soon warmed the place up at night. The area is loud and full of energy with the little chalet being at the Centre of it. The food at the Baltic Market is outstanding and didn't need to go anywhere else. Enjoyed a lovely walk to the Albert docks. But what made it for us was the Bars and quality drinks (the espresso martinis are amazing), my husband and I forgot we were middle aged and had a really good time! Even our very hard to please teenage daughter loved our little break. It wasn't a quiet peaceful break and we loved it for that! thanks Craig

Patsy and her partner were absolutely lovely hosts! They were kind and incredibly responsive, which we so appreciated as we are from out of the country. They made us feel right at home, and we absolutely intend to return to stay with them again. Don't hesitate to book a long weekend with them in this beautiful and serene refuge, you wont regret it!

what a brilliant set up this is, if off grid camping is what you want then you need to try here, this place is in a stunning location with all the basics for camping, you really get the woodland camping experience, nothing to flashy but all the comforts you need to have a great time, any issues and joe responds within minutes and is likely to have you back up and running within the hour. could not recommend this place enough for anyone that is looking for (wild camp) experience with a twist i will definatly return in the future

What an absolutely incredible place to stay. Such a peaceful area and a cool place to stay. We were provided with everything we needed for our stay from all cooking equipment, towels, bedding, games and even hot water bottles. There was some really kind touches even for our little dog. Overall a fantastic place which I would love to return to one day!

We had a lovely break for our sins first holiday.The lodges were close to Alton towers and Drayton Manor and we also visited a local adventure farm. the village is beautiful and the lodges were easy to find. Our hosts were so welcoming and friendly. The lodge is beautiful and spacious and it doesn't feel cramped like other lodges we have stayed in. the big green in front was great for our son to run around and play football. the hot tub was a welcome extra at the end of a long day 😂 we will definitely be back!

Third time here. So peaceful Back again soon I hope.
