Perfect apartment, central location and close to everything. We used the apartment as a base for a cycling weekend, apartment was clean, very comfortable and had everything we needed. Rebecca was very responsive and really helpful. Can’t recommend the apartment enough.

We had 2 nights at Butler’s Retreat. Really good and top quality accommodation. Exactly as it shows on the photos and description. Sir Richard was very helpful and responsive in every way. We had amazing weather for February and took a lovely circular 2 hour walk from the property and enjoyed the tearoom lunch at the end.

Really enjoyed our stay, the apartment was spotless, in a fantastic location and had the added bonus of a car parking space. Would definitely stay here again!

Great place to stay. Lovely surroundings, friendly working farm, my kids loved seeing the piglets and feeding them. A walk into Lincoln in just over an hour, through the fields, brilliant. Great place in a great location, everything was very comfortable and clean, there was a well-kitted out kitchen and comfy bed. Being on the first floor meant stunning views and you felt very safe. The kitchen and lounge were actually even better than in the photos, there was a nice comfy sofa in the lounge and the kitchen table was in a convenient place with dining chairs and a bench. Very good location down a quiet street but only a few mins walk from the pubs and shops. Thanks for hosting me!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Poolhouse. John and his team gave clear instructions on how to find the property, and even included photos. We loved the fact that it had private, off road parking. Main entrance to the property is accessible and the property is on one level. John was great to work with and even came over to show us how to work the heating and cooling system. This is an ideal property for a couple and just like the photos.

Very beautiful surroundings and cleverly executed indoor swimming pool, sauna and massage rooms! Some minor issues with the heating of the Manners and sounds of the swimmers below however it’s a great little escape! Highly recommend it.

What you see is what you get. We booked this accommodation simply as a place to lay our heads for 2 nights during a weekend event. Being a group of 6 lads (dropping from 7 only days earlier) we were easily satisfied given that there were plenty of warm comfortable beds on hand and despite it being a little chilly on arrival, we adjusted the heating easily and it was just right. With a full spread of kitchen facilities, ample Wifi and TV coverage on offer as well as additional bathroom facilities on top of those mentioned- we were more than content. Location wise it's fantastic; we were able to walk to the local stores within 5 or so minutes and pick up extra bits and we were only a short drive from the main Nottingham City area. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention some concerns over damp in the main bathroom that were offered by some of our group, but the house itself was very clean. An older house with a few upgrades; it's perfectly comfortable for a few days stay.

A beautiful cottage within easy commutable distance from Nottingham. Private in a gorgeous area with places to walk and relax. Jo and Steve were perfect hosts, gave us all relevant information, really responsive but also gave us privacy. Gorgeous accommodation in fantastic condition with everything we needed for a stay away from home. We will be coming back and would recommend to anyone who wants a rural retreat close to the city.

Lovely cottage in a perfect Nottinghamshire village.

Just wanted to say what a wonderful weekend we had staying at Ellington house. Helen went out of her way with information about the house and location before we arrived and the house itself was very impressive. The pictures do not do it justice. The location is perfect to get into Nottingham city center and the surrounding area is full of rich history. I highly recommend a stay the the Ellington to anyone visiting Nottingham and needed that extra bit of room. Thanks Helen for the perfect weekend to celebrate my Mothers birthday.

We had a great stay - the house is peaceful, quiet, clean, and especially cosy with the woodburner on! Richard and Jo were excellent hosts, very friendly and accommodating, and offered great advice on places to visit nearby with our two small children. We all slept amazingly well (very unusual with a 1 and 3 year old); the beds were comfy and it was so quiet. The house is well set up for visiting with toddlers - there are toys, books, stair gates etc. and the large garden is great to let them run around in. We would absolutely return, especially in the summer to really make use of the beautiful garden.

We had a fantastic stay! The house was perfect—clean, comfortable, and just what we needed. The location was peaceful and ideal for us, making it a great place to relax. David was an excellent host—very responsive and available whenever we needed anything. The late checkout was a wonderful bonus and made our departure stress-free. Highly recommend staying here—5/5!

great place within walking distance of the city center and a really functional house

We found the property very comfortable it was home from home, the house had everything we needed and more, very clean and really modern, they have really thought of everything. I would highly recommend staying in this property if you are a family or a group of adults sharing, it was very reasonably priced. Thank you Graham

Had an amazing stay! The place was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. The host was incredibly responsive and made sure everything was perfect. This was my second stay here and would definitely stay here again when visiting Sheffield.

I want to say Davids apartment is perfect , the flat is layed out perfectly , feels super homely with all nice bits left their like books and art on the walls , quite , very comfy bed in main bedroom with a really cool walk in wardrobe which I really liked. David very responsive and friendly. kitchen very spacious with everything nothing missed . thanks so much !

Absolutely wonderful! Eyam is gorgeous, with beautiful walks on the doorstep, easy to get to Buxton, Bakewell, Tideswell and other super places to explore. The apartment is amazing, so much larger than we expected - it feels like a house. All the rooms are great in size, the lounge has a variety of seating, an electric fire, blankets, cushions, loads of DVDs to choose from (it is not a smart tv, so normal channels but the host has over 100 DVDs to choose from - which the children loved!). The kitchen is wonderful - there is so much storage! We didn't have to rearrange the storage to fit in our food delivery! The Tea Room is below and I was worried about noise and smells - but none of us heard or smelt anything - it was so quiet. The beds were all so comfortable, a large roll top bath, great water pressure, super heating and hot water, dark curtains/blinds, every untensil we needed, large fridge and freezer! It was amazing and we will 100% be back! We all absolutely love it!

Great little flat, everything you need …..and close to town with lovely, friendly & helpful hosts

This was a beautiful place to stay. Anthony the host was friendly and helpful and came to greet us upon arrival. The apartment was delightful and the kids especially loved the mezzanine bedroom - a really exciting treat. We felt right at home and can't wait to come and visit again. 100% recommend this place for both couples and families with one or two children between the ages of 6-14.
