A wonderful stay, the spa on the deck was particularly fun for our kids, and we loved the wood fire. Warm and cosy stay with beautiful views of the bay.

Kerrie and Kellie obviously put alot of effort into keeping the colonial charm of the cottage. The cottage is well stocked with all the essentials. It's walking distance to most of the points of interest round the bay and a nice comfy place to stay. While the cottage isn't really aimed at kids and the hosts do make sure you're aware of it the untempered hot water system would be a serious hazard for small children.

We really loved our stay in there, and the house was even bigger than it seemed on the pictures! Definitely recommending, and it also had a great wifi & TV connection with all the different apps where to watch the shows. The place was a little bit out of Hobart, but not too far, even walkable, if you like & you’re used to walking..! The shops weren’t far either! It was also very private & peaceful area, but the only downside was that there were some dogs around, and they started barking already like 6am until like 8am, and on the other morning as well..! I have no idea why they were barking around, as there is basically no movement by people, or cars..! Besides that everything was very nice👍🏻 They even had an electric heating through the whole house, which was very great!

We absolutely loved our stay. Easy to find, easy access, amazing accommodation and lots of little extras including freshly laid eggs from the resident chooks. Highly recommended with stunning views out to Bruny island.

This was a fantastic place to stay with the family to relax and forget about the world around us. Very peaceful setting with a clean and tidy home. If in the area in the future, we would have no hesitation in coming back. Priscilla was friendly and always on hand to help with questions should the need have arisen.

Our stay at the cottage was magical! We were greeted by Grant on our arrival and felt welcomed straight away. The nature and views are stunning in this place. Exactly what we needed to hide from the business of city. The local nature walk is definitely worth enjoying. Every day there were different and beautiful skies, autumn colours and so many native birds. Our evenings were spent at the warmth of the fire place and a bonus of a bath with the view out to the nature. There were several other cottages but the surroundings are well planned and we enjoyed our own privacy. We look forward to coming back another time!

I had the most idyllic time in this perfect little hide-away, so much so that I really didn't want to leave! Jane and her family were just next door if I needed anything but left me in complete peace to enjoy the surroundings. It's such a beautiful part of the world, and I can't wait to come back.

We were traveling as a family group of ten and this house accommodated us so well. The location is so beautiful and we loved exploring the local region and then coming home to wander the beach each evening. It was so peaceful and relaxing. The host was friendly, responsive and helpful

This place is just the sweetest place to stay. Sit on the balcony and watch the chooks by day and pademelons at night. Compact but everything I wanted kitchen. The coolest stairs and wood wall. Close to Woodbridge Village for brekky but also close to Birchs Bay Art Farm, Kettering and not far across to Cygnet too.

We had an amazing time Kayaking and doing photography on the lake. It was just so beautiful ❤️ Plenty of warm comfortable and clean beds. This place is off the grid, no wifi, no tv.

Beautiful location and an amazing place to get away and relax. Best thing is that you can do it with your fur friends. They were equally relaxed and loved the beach.

This place was cosy and we loved the space! We did hear a cat meow on one of the mornings and hoped to catch a glimpse of her but unfortunately missed her. Looking forward to staying again the next time we visit!

Very interesting place. Used to be a bank so very big and airey. Great artwork on the walls. Woodburner very cosy. Well equipped. Supermarket opposite. Wasing machine and tumble dryer on site.

Had an amazing stay here. Beautiful, clean, modern and felt right at home. Sue was flexible with check in time which made our stay more enjoyable. Fresh eggs when we arrived, and fresh warm bread left for us in the morning, incredible. Plus very close to Mount Field National Park. I have paid more, for much less, in worse locations. Worth every cent!!

Words and photos don’t do The Oyster Shack justice. It’s a truly special place in the far south wilderness of Tasmania. Russell was so friendly and accommodating. From the freshly baked berry cake and home-cooked jam to the fresh farm eggs and access to the fruit and veggie garden, Russel did more than expected for us. The place itself is super rustic with a fireplace and everything you need, including board games and all you need to be cook up a storm and for an unplugged few days to truly recharge. Our tip is to keep the curtains open so you wake to the glorious sunrise over the Lagoon. We would love to come back one day.

Spent lovely couple of nights at Leisha’s place! Easy to find the place and no problems with parking. Instructions were simple & clear. This place really felt like home. Neat & tidy plus the kitchen was my favourite part. Had all utensils and equipment. The manual book gave us all the instructions to work out the equipments without hassle. The bathroom and bedrooms were so clean & lovely. The surrounding was so peaceful. Leisha was a great host, very welcoming and responded whenever we needed. Would recommend this beautiful home to anyone who visits Hobart! Such a lovely stay. Thank you Leisha for this wonderful home! Would definitely visit again 🥰♥️
