We absolutely adored staying at Te Awa Lodge on our recent trip to Wanaka. It was a gorgeous riverside home with an amazing hot tub and sauna, which we loved using after our hikes. Graeme and Carolyn were such warm, welcoming hosts and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. The property is easily accessible to Wanaka (10-15 min) and Mount Aspiring (1 hour) . Would highly recommend to anyone in the area!

We had the most incredible stay at Victoria’s space! The smell from the fresh florals was such a unique and wonderful touch. The space was designed so well and the views of the mountains and the lake are just breath taking. It’s across the street from the most incredible restaurant that Victoria suggested (The Sherwood) and we ended up going back 2 nights in a row to try everything on the menu. The proximity from town is great, you can walk if you are feeling like some exercise or it’s a quick 5 min drive/ uber. We also enjoyed an afternoon swimming off the dock in the refreshing waters of the lake. I cannot recommend this stay enough!

Exceptional stay! Deb is an amazing host - thoughtful, welcoming, and attentive. The place is perfectly located for easy walking, yet feels private and surrounded by beautiful gardens. Loved the special touches throughout. Don’t think twice about booking - we highly recommend this special Airbnb!

Incredible view out our window in the morning, cosy cottage, comfy bed and everything we needed for a breakfast. If I had the chance to design a cabin, this would be it: everything you need, & nothing you don’t. (Yes, I consider a dishwasher & washing machine essential) It’s clear that every detail has been thoughtfully considered to create a truly restful retreat. We chose not to set up the internet during our stay and applaud the host for planning to remove it entirely. It’s not necessary here. Give yourself the gift of disconnection & immerse yourself in the beauty of this incredible part of the world. The highlight was the wood-fired hot tub under the stars. It takes some time to heat up—but that process became a cherished ritual: chopping wood, stirring the water as it warms, and being the first to brave the plunge. It added meaning to the experience. Inside, the comfort continues: a firm, cozy bed, an amazing rainfall shower, and thoughtful touches like a motion-sensing nightlight to guide the way to the bathroom. Every detail enhanced our stay. A truly special place to unwind and reset.

I had a great time with my family at this Air bnb, it had amazing views, the house was clutter free and very clean, felt just like being at my home. Kids loved the bunk beds 😊
