We had a fantastic time on Galloping Waters--excellent service, good food, lovely environment. The staff was very responsive and helpful, and great with the kids (4 kids, ages 10,9, and 6(x2)). The on-deck pool provided for hours of small person entertainment.

We had an awesome experience in the house boat and the kids loved it. The weekend was just to short. Will definitely be back and for an even longer stay.

We loved everything, the house is equipped with everything you need, our stay coincided with my birthday, there is a restaurant on the waterfront where we were able to get oysters and champagne. At night the house offers a very beautiful view of the mountains and the coastline and of course the starry sky. Julia was very kind and it was a pleasure to talk to her. Definitely recommend for an unusual experience.

We loved our stay aboard the self-piloted Port Alfred houseboat on the Kowie River. The surroundings were beautiful & peaceful and it was an amazing experience. The hosts were excellent, especially Johan who was the instructor for the course to obtain the temporary skipper's certificate of competence.

The house boat was an adventurous experience. Two of us slept in the tent for the full experience but inside it’s also cozy. In the morning we saw a beautiful sunrise and went to Addo elephant park after breakfast. The advantage is that you only need a few minutes from the boat to the park so we were one of the first ones entering the park and that made it even better. There was a whole big elephant family crossing the street and we were the only ones just standing there and enjoying to see them. If you stay at Winstons boat, don’t miss to go to the park!

What a unique stay. Sunsets to die for which adds to the romantic setting. Comfortable bed and lovely couch to sit outside. We loved every minute!

Petra's Hausboot ist eine der individuellsten Objekte die wir bis jetzt kennengelernt haben. Die Lage an einem ruhigen Seitenarm des Flusses Vaal ist traumhaft. Wenn man ein ruhiges Plätzchen zum entspannen sucht, ist es genau das Richtige. Wir waren vorher 7 Wochen mit dem Camper durch das südliche Afrika unterwegs und haben es sehr genossen. Petra ist eine phantastische Gastgeberin und war immer sehr hilfsbereit. Wir kommen gerne wieder.
