I went to Portpatrick with my three boys, we had a lovely stay, the views are amazing and the apartment was perfect. We loved the hot tub for when the evening cooled down, we were so lucky with the weather as we had clear blue skies and sunshine all week. We visited the castle ruins and enjoyed the amazing cliff top walks. It’s a peaceful little harbour town, no gimmicks, just peaceful and friendly. I loved my daily chats with Libby who was doing some maintenance on the apartments. The only thing I wasn’t aware of was the £20 cash key deposit, but they were very understanding and let me settle in and I took it up to the hotel a little later. I would highly recommend staying here and we will be back! Thank you.

Me and my 5 friends had a lovely stay in Ballentrae. The cottage was gorgeous and had a lovely view, with lovely peaceful surroundings nearby. Plenty of nice walks, and the local community pub was defo a highlight for us! Very fun and friendly! The cottage itself was very spacious, with lots of room and utensils to cook and also to lounge. The hot tub was lovely too! Thanks very much for a great stay!

We had an excellent stay in Sue's well-appointed, comfortable and cosy accommodation. We loved the view from the dining table! Nothing is very far from anywhere on Arran and Pirnhill proved to be a good base. Sue was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Highly recommended.

Pristine and peaceful. The hosts live in the main house and are usually around to give help and local advice. Hamish the dog is an adorable bonus.

We had a fantastic stay in the cottage, it was a lovely cosy space, with everything we could need. Particularly appreciated the cot and highchair, and the washing/drying facilities for soggy walking clothes! Lorna was super friendly and helpful and we look forward to staying again on Arran!

Marjorie and Ronnie were very attentive. The house is a perfect retreat for a couple: it has lots of space and an idyllic location adjacent to the shoreline. We had a thoroughly relaxing break and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it highly to anyone looking for a peaceful holiday: nature abounds. We loved the area and there is lots to do. Very much recommend the nearby Mount StuartHouse.

I book for members of staff: guest who stayed reported it was clean, in a lovely setting, and he'd be very happy if he'd to return to the area to stay there again.

Lovely place to stay in the middle of Bowmore. Great base for walking, cycling etc. on Islay. Lovely house with a stream through the garden.

Exceeded our expectations for sure. Enjoyed every minute. Host went out of her way to meet with us. Cottage did not lack anything. Area was quite and in the middle of nature.

We stayed at Shurig cottage as family of 4 (kids 4 and 2 years) and grandad! The hosts were really helpful with pre trip and during the trip especially with recommendations of things to do and places to eat. The accommodation was spotless and had all amenities needed. We loved the modern cosy cottage feel! The outdoor space was great too! Highlights of the trip included blackwaterfoot beach which was a great sandy beach for the kids and we even had the kayak out too, Mara fish restaurant in Corrie, seals seen on the west coast, hiking to Machrie Moor standing stones and Kings cave! Both Brodrick castle and the Thyme cafe had great outdoor play areas for the kids (we loved the Pide there too)! We also loved Arran butchers and the bakehouse in Blackwaterfoot! Hamilton cottages is a perfect base for these activities and we will hopefully be back soon! Thank you!

Enjoyed a fantastic few days in this property whilst working in the area. The views across to Gigha, Islay and Jura were just amazing. Fast wifi allowed me to catchup with emails at the end of the day and share the wonderful pictures I'd taken of the views. The kitchen was perfect for the 3 of us that were staying. I'll definately be looking to stay here again.

A beautiful little cottage with a well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. Made for a perfect weekend stay for our group of 3 friends and we loved sitting out the front with views to the sea, Gigha and Jura. Friendly and kind hosts. Highly recommend and would love to stay again.

What a beautiful cottage in stunning surroundings! Fraser Cottage is the perfect home away from home, with everything you could want or need. The log fire was amazing after a day of walking on nearby beaches! Our dog Mabel absolutely loved the surrounding gardens and laying by the fire too! Philippa and Ninian were so helpful and friendly throughout our stay and we look forward to coming to stay again!

The cottage is an extremely comfortable and warm haven. Set in picturesque surroundings at the end of a farm track. It is extremely well equipped and the large hallway and utility/ drying area was excellent for all our coats and shoes etc. I would definitely recommend this place x

Absolutely beautiful location and accommodation. Everything was pristine, clean, and well stocked. The views from the home are stunning in such a peaceful setting. Nan was also incredibly helpful before and throughout our stay. Would highly recommend to anyone! Wish we could have stayed longer.

Caoimhe's cottage was amazing, right on the ocean and close to all the hiking. The cottage had all the amenities needed for several days of exploring. Bed and linens were super comfortable and host and family made sure I had everything I needed for a 5 day stay. I would absolutely return to this lovely hideaway on the beach and would highly recommend to other travelers.

If you have a choice to stay in Brodick or Lamlash, I recommend Lamlash and James' flat. There is less "hustle and bustle" with a quieter coastline. However, great restaurants (Lamlash Bay Hotel and Drift Inn were our favorites). There's a Coop for groceries - all within a 10-15 min walk. Your only a five min drive to Brodick, etc. The flat itself has everything you need, and is equipped Alexa and other modern conveniences. You also have your own parking spot. James is very responsive - before and during the stay. I recommend his flat and Lamlash highly.
