Loved the location and the shepherds hut was perfect! Great for a night or two in an idyllic setting with stunning views, great walk and the perfect perch pub within a few mins walk away. The log fire burner was a bonus providing a warm cosy atmosphere. I loved the sound of the birds singing as well.

We had such a lovely, relaxing time during our stay! The space was clean, cozy, and exactly what we needed to unwind. Everything was thoughtfully set up and made us feel right at home. Communication with Jon was easy and smooth from start to finish. We would definitely love to come back and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway!

Overall, accommodation was great and everything went well. Things that I would like to point out. List of amenities these things are not correct. 1. Carbon monoxide alarm for the fireplace. The bedroom is not operational which is a hazard. 2. Coffee machine was not there. We asked and we were kindly given a jar instant coffee. 3. Outdoor to dining area doesn't exist. there is ourdoor furniture but not a dining area. 4. Outdoor kitchen doesn't exist either. They are correct, there is a BBQ as mentioned on the amenities , but that is not a outdoor kitchen. 5. I understand there is no Wi-Fi available. Which would I was okay with as I have 50GB of data. What I was not aware is that the location is in a virtually a signal dead zone there was one spot that we had to go to , if we wanted to receive our Whats-App messages. I would see this as an important thing to mention to people. Lastly , we had the lovely couple who lived at the corner who were available when we needed to ask questions.

Highly recommend this beautiful shepherds hut. Lovely private setting and the host was fabulous and very accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble, gave some great recommendations for local pubs and restaurants (definitely worth a visit), also checked in to see if we needed anything which was a lovely touch, along with the goodie basket which was a lovely surprise. Thank you very much for having us, we would definitely return to this beautiful spot.

Perfect for our short stay in Milton Keynes, hut was lovely and was nice to have some tea and biscuit provisions. Easy check in and a beautiful area to be set up at. Hut is right next to the farm house and store. Fortunately we had no noise from either. Overall very pleased, only slight issue was that the bathroom fan wasn't working (or we couldn't work out how to turn it on) so it got very humid in there, some signs of mould but could be related to the fan so I'm sure will get fixed soon.

Great host and wonderful place to stay. Had a really relaxing time and loved the fire pit and wood-fired hot tub. Would definitely stay again.

Very close to, just 15 minutes, but out of the sprawl of Oxford; in beautiful farmland with fabulous walks and charming pubs, rivers for dipping into. Beautifully decorated space with everything one needs, quietly located in the corner of a field. Really comfortable bed with cushions, perfect place to read, with good light and a window. Recommend local-ish Mason Arms for relaxed coffee and papers. Good shower and thoughtful makeup mirrors in communal bathroom. Very quick response (booked hours before!) and kind and welcoming welcome.

What a beautiful place to stay - the lodge was beautifully finished and the small touches were great. The hot tub was wonderful, and it was idyllic. Danielle was super helpful and it was genuinely a wonderful peaceful stay.

Really lovely cabin, well looked after and very clean. Host was very helpful and pleasant. As others have written, the cabin is located near the house and not quite in the middle of the woods as expected, but hosts fully respected privacy and we only saw them on arrival. Toilet is a little cramped but otherwise everything was perfect. A really lovely stay

Loved everything about the Shepherds hut and it exceeded our expectations. It was a great location, clean, well-stocked, and Nick was a generous, personable and helpful host, who welcomed us and provided useful information. Would definitely visit again.

Amazingly set out with everything in a small space. The setting is beautiful and peaceful The bed was super comfy too. Ann, the host was very helpful, and I can highly recommend her produce too.

Burghley mouse @the cider huts is a brilliantly thought out little cabin with every amenity needed, comfy double bed, smart tv, WiFi, tea/coffee making facilities, portable stove, large kitchen sink, cooking utensils, microwave, space to hang clothes, fold down table for two, wood burner, toilet, large bathroom sink and hot shower. Outside in the picturesque little orchard is a small patio area to the front of the cabin and large lazy hammock to the rear enjoying evening sun and shade in the day. A wonderful winding grass path leads to a large English oak tree with a rope swing hung from it, a few yards further leads to a lit arbour with fire pit and marshmallows. There is an out building housing a fridge full of complimentary homemade ciders and apple juices also free eggs are provided by the resident chickens. There are multiple country trails, woods and a park all with in walking distance. The hosts are 1st rate, they leave you be but are very welcoming and responsive when needed 5⭐

We had a lovely, relaxing night away here. Every consideration was so thoughtful and homey - from the bottle of fizz, to the cosy cottage decor, to the chilled atmosphere - and not to mention the gorgeous private sauna. Oey was the perfect host. And don't pass up the option of a home made Thai banquet - it was absolutely delicious, and we took home leftovers!

We had a wonderful stay at the Shepherd’s Hut. The peaceful setting, surrounded by sheep and wildlife, made it a truly relaxing experience. It was lovely to wake up to the sounds of nature each morning. We chose to pay a bit extra for the hot tub, and it was absolutely worth it—perfect for unwinding in the evenings. Helen was a great host, and everything was just as described. Highly recommend Helen’s place for anyone looking for a quiet countryside escape!

Really enjoyed our stay at Shepherds Hut. The hut was easy to find thanks to Emma’s instructions. There are stunning views of the estate lakes and Rutland country side from the front of the hut. The hut is only 15 minutes away from the Rutland Vineyard which we enjoyed visiting. Would definitely love to come back. Well worth a visit.

We had a great stay. Rachel and her family were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. We enjoyed walks around the hut and some local pubs, reccomended by Rachel. Would highly recommend for a weekend away.

A really lovely solo stay (with the dog). The place has everything you’d need for a short stay. The outside space is lovely… even though the pooch wanted to go and hang out with the neighbours. Loads of cute villages nearby and lots of country walks. I’ll come again if they let me!

Natalia was an amazing host, always readily available for questions or advice. The hut was super clean, cosy and with the most amazing views. We made great use of the hot tub and it stayed warm until the morning after! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend. We ate at the Wheatsheaf pub - 10 minute drive away and Rutland nursery-10 minute walk away. Both amazing food and would recommend to anyone visiting. We also hired bikes from Rutland water and cycled round for 2 hours- took us 15 minutes to drive to the bike hire area in whitwell from the Hide. All in all, fab hosts and amazing accommodation with lots to do around the area. Will definitely be coming back!

Perfect for our weekend getaway! Cozy, clean and relaxing. Well located near the beautiful Cotswolds’ towns and we got some great local advice from Rachael. Would definitely recommend!

Amazing stay! We were surrounded by lambs, situated in a quiet orchard on a farm. The shepherds hut was fantastic, loved the decoration and Emma Bridgewater mugs and plates! The local pubs and walks are fantastic. Would stay again. Thanks!

We had a lovely peaceful stay here for our birthday! The bath took a bit of working out to get the right temperature but we were lovely and warm in the end despite it being 1°c outside - thankfully there were bathrobes for us to use which was perfect! The canal and a little shop are literally 2min walk from the hut and we went to a nice pub just down the road (the admiral nelson) - you can either walk down the road or the canal to get there. Our dogs loved the paddock and cosy fire 🔥 Thank you so much 😊

A lovely stay in the shepherd's hut at Bruern Farm, stunning peaceful location making it a great place for some r&r, with everything you could need. The fire pit a real bonus to take advantage of the weather we luckily had, lots to do and see. A great breakfast at the Bruern farm shop cafe, lovely trips to Burford (the garden co. is a must if your a gardener), food at The Fox in Barrington (lovely setting by the river) and The Old Shed.
