Lynn's home in Tarpum Bay is a good value and a great place to base your yourself in South Eleuthera. The home is about a block away from the water, though we actually didn't spend time on the beach itself because we mainly drove to more secluded beaches (French Leave and Lighthouse Beach were our favorites). We came with dogs, and the house was comfortable for us with them. The house is well stocked and it was easy to cook most of our meals. We loved being next door to a bakery which made good coffee as well, and across the street from a grocery store. Do note that there are *lots* of roosters in the settlement that roam around, some right up to your door, so expect to hear roosters calling in the early hours of the day.

We had a terrific stay at On the Rocks. The location is ideal. Spacious and very comfortably arranged with lots of thoughtful details to make you quickly feel at home. The hosts are wonderful- warm and easy to communicate with. We can’t wait to return.

The place was nice and comfortable only problem was the water pressure but I guess it’s was the neighborhood

A HOME AWAY FROM HOME. The host Ms. Barbara is very helpful, communicative, and accommodating. The photos doesn’t give this cottage any justice! It’s super huge, clean, and well equipped with everything you may need during your stay. There is an amazing private beach steps away from the back porch. I would most definitely stay at this cottage if I was to visit southern Eleuthera again.

My group and I really enjoyed our stay. Deberia’s place was as described and included everything you need in a home away from home. You will definitely need transportation when staying at this location but that’s expected on a island.

The pictures don't do justice to this home (light and beautiful) and its surroundings (paradise). There should be one of the view from the deck directly down to the ocean! :) Architecture is stunning. Full on views of the beach and tropical vegetation from every side. Two different work spaces with desks and views out the back. Kitchen is a little small if you're having a big group, but for two it was terrific. Everything worked. Fans in all the rooms! Great shower with fabulous water pressure. Loved the simplicity of the decor and having the beach to ourselves. BE SURE TO READ THE INSTRUCTIONS (and maybe print them at home). VERY useful information. Contact Latoya for practical questions. She was able to get us a rental car when other companies said they had no vehicles left. Do get a 4WD. The high chassis is important for rutted roads if you go anywhere off the beaten track. We didn't plan to, but it happens! :)

Nice and accommodating, windows were left open so a few gnats got in but overall really clean and nice place

This place is worth every penny!! The house was clean and comfy with everything you needed. It had a bbq, lovely deck that overlooked the harbour and the dock/tent area along the water was incredible! Having that place to relax in the morning or evening all to our self was worth the stay itself. Shorlette and her husband Joey are fantastic hosts and always there to help. Always so responsive and caring. The location of the place is great as well. We rented a car and we could tour around the island either North or South in less than a hour. Great people, swimming locations, restaurants, grocery/liquor/gas stores all minutes away. Staying here again wouldn’t even be a question, I’d like to live here hahha! Book it while you can, before we book it up again.
