Cosy Galloway cottage - sleeps 5; beaches & walks

Burnside is a cosy, secluded bolthole and perfect base to explore old Galloway. Built in the 1850s, our family restored the bungalow in 1970 and we've been visiting since. The cottage sits in a tranquil valley, a mile from the sea. It'll be just you, the wildlife and the view, within easy reach of beaches, rocky coves, and hills. The house is in an enclosed half-acre site. It sleeps five in double, twin and single bedrooms. The kitchen/living room are open plan with log burning stove and WiFi.

Carrick Shore, Coastal home private entry to beach

Spacious beach house with private enclosed garden, ample parking area with private access down to the beach. Well equipped for family life. 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms. TV and Wifi. Plenty of games and books etc for the young ones. Carrick Bay has plenty of opportunities to fish, swim, walk, cycle, sail, canoe, windsurf or paddle board. Longhill is a rural getaway, surrounded by farmland, yet only a few minutes drive from the nearest town of Whithorn. It also boasts a number of beautiful beaches and walks on it's doorstep, plus charming harbour towns and Scotland's National Book Town, Wigtown. There are plenty of places to explore and visit, or you can simply cosy up by the fire, have a ping pong tournament, nap in the sumptuous beds or read in the garden. There are films, games and super fast fibre optic broadband.

The Granary is situated on our small working farm with stunning views over Wigtown Bay. Sleeps 2/4 with twin or double bedroom downstairs, single/double bed can be provided in lounge. Small child friendly, travel cot, high chair etc available. Short drive to beaches, Galloway Forest, hills and coast. Five minutes from Wigtown, handy for the Book Festival. Great for bikers, cyclists, walkers, bird watching or relaxing. One well behaved dog welcome, please advise us before arrival.
