This is a wonderful place to stay. It was a great experience to leave the cities behind and the tourist sites and have a chance to live with a local family for a while. The food is delicious and the rooms are probably the smartest mud huts in the world! The village safari was a fascinating tour, learning about the old crafts and traditions as well as seeing beautiful wildlife. We also loved the weaving demonstration. We were made to feel so welcome and we definitely left as friends.

Hard to find the right words to describe how amazing our stay was at Chhotaram and Mamata. My girlfriend and I stayed only one night, on our way between Jodhpur and Jaisalmer. We have travelled in many continents and countries and our stay at their place is definitely one of the best, if not the most special, we have had on Airbnb. We felt more than welcome, we felt part of the family, not only they offer their incredible hospitality very genuinely but also with ethic and off the beaten track, it really made the highlight of our trip in Rajasthan. The cottage are really well maintained and personalised, sparkling clean with even hot shower bathroom, but this is only where you’ll sleep, the rest is to be lived. Mamata also offers an incredible cooking class that I really recommend to book, very unique using traditional wood fire oven, very participative and immersive but also the best meal we have had in our trip! Overall, well... we simply didn’t want to leave.

I had a wonderful time. Did a Jeep safari to spot some animals, visited local craftspeople and did a cooking class. It is nice to experience the village life after seeing the cities and Chhotaram, Mamata and the rest of their family were lovely hosts and made me feel very welcome. I recommend visiting for a couple of nights to experience the place properly. It was a highlight of my trip to India.
