Originally constructed in the early 1800's, the structure was built over a natural spring that was used for refrigeration. Water from the spring maintains a constant cool temperature throughout the year while also filling a pond. The original stone well, channel and stone flooring are all intact for guests to explore and experience how our ancestors lived.

Private: you cannot see another house from the front porch or back decks and it has thick woods all around. At the top of the property are soaring views with 3 miles of visibility. No need to go to the national park.

The Misty River Cottage is located on one of the seven bends of the Shenandoah River and at the base of the Massanutten Mountain. It was designed, built and furnished with the goal of being one of the nicest options in the Shenandoah Valley. With views of the river and mountains from every room. Sunnyside Farm offers a luxurious stay in a beautifully restored historic forge. You’ll be greeted by the farm’s delightful hosts, Jimmy and Dean, two friendly Potbelly pigs. Beautiful cows forage right outside your door. The Forge features exposed wooden beams, brick walls, and cozy furnishings. The interior is designed with plush bedding, a fully equipped kitchen, and spacious living reminiscent of yesteryear. Breweries, wineries and famous antique stores nearby offer entertainment.

The Little Green Cabin is a beautifully renovated riverfront retreat nestled along one of the Seven Bends of the Shenandoah River between Strasburg and Woodstock—the perfect escape to relax, unwind, and enjoy the outdoors. INSIDE: Full kitchen, 4 beds, cozy furnishings, electric fireplace, Wi-Fi, and oversized windows and doors with plenty of natural light. OUTSIDE: Large screened-in deck, private river access, 2 fire pits, grill, picnic table, hammock, swing set, and horseshoe pit.
