This is our third stay at Monnybrook House and again another wonderful stay. Superb venue with everything you need. Flexibility, great communication and a view of the local alpacas. Friendly neighbourhood. Three great pubs within walking distance but we recommend the Crown Inn due to its great menu and very reasonable prices.

Excellent accommodation in beautiful surroundings. Delightful and welcoming hosts. Can't recommend highly enough.

My sister and I took our elderly mum to Lizzies for a break away and we were not disappointed. Holbrook Barn was everything and more, that we could have hoped for, it was immaculate, clean, and the beds so comfortable there was danger of not wanting to get up! Having a downstairs bedroom with on suite for our mum was just perfect. Kitchen was well equipped with everything you could possibly need for cooking a full on meal. The accommodation is perfectly located to a lot of places of interest to drive to, Matlock & Bakewell were a couple of our favourites. And finally - the host!.. Lizzie was great! Very responsive to any queries, and very friendly. Holbrook Barn is definitely on my list of re-visits! Highly recommended.

Fantastic Venue for couples!! Accommodation is immaculate throughout with a real luxury feel, amazing gardens surround it and make it lovely and private. Topped off with a hot tub overlooking beautiful scenery (great for evenings with a glass of vino) and a separate bar to top it all off! Couldn’t recommend enough. Had a great stay.

We had a wonderful stay! The place was extremely clean and well looked after, with a beautiful garden that made it feel especially peaceful and relaxing. One of the highlights was the lovely wooden path next to the property, perfect for quiet walks. It's an ideal spot for a restful holiday. I highly recommend it and would love to come back again. Denise and Family were the perfect hosts and on walking through the door you could see why the place has such good reviews. The property had been decorated for the Easter Weekend and a welcome box of goodies met us in the kitchen. The setting is a typical rural Yorkshire scene with everything you'd expect and we made numerous visits to the local Thorncliffe Farm Shop (5 mins by car) for some quality provisions. Everyone in my party was delighted with the location and it acted as perfect base for visiting the attractions of both South and West Yorkshire.

Hil's place was wonderful! It was peaceful and comfortable. The underfloor heating gave it an added warmth. Hil was also very welcoming and she made sure that she catered to my Lactose intolerance. The breakfast was also just perfection with overnight oats, cheese and delicious bread. No complaints here. We enjoyed our stay very much! Thank you so much Hil!

An interesting passage beside a terraced house leads down to a secluded garden. The accommodation is accessed through a sliding patio door. The two bedrooms and the toilet (great shower!) lead off the main living space. All the essentials are there in the kitchen area - kettle, microwave and fridge. Comfortable beds and plenty of towels. We had a wonderful stay over Easter weekend, Amanda was an excellent host and very good at communicating. The lodge was clean and tidy with everything we needed inside. The treats for us (& the dogs) were an added bonus. We will definitely be staying again and recommending to family. 😊

We have just returned from a fantastic visit to Ashover. The studio was clean and well equipped with everything you could need. The views from the property are stunning - perfect for watching the sunrise or sunset. Dominic and Jane were friendly and welcoming. They were able to recommend suitable walks for us with our dog and some dog friendly pubs and restaurants. We were looking for a peaceful getaway and that’s exactly what we got. Thank you.

We had a really lovely weekend away and were met by Paul on arrival who was very friendly, welcoming and immediately made us feel at home (and we can’t forget the resident cat, Jack who was such a sweet boy and always made his presence known). although the cottage is on the same property as the main house, you still have loads of privacy whilst knowing that if you need anything, the hosts are only across the driveway. it was very clean and cosy with the log burner and the incredible views from the bedroom. the kitchen was well equipped with everything you would need, the underfloor heating was such a bonus and the eggs, milk and bread were a nice welcoming touch. we were only here for a short stay but wish it could have been longer and would love to come back! :)

I have stayed with the Glyn & Lynn for a year now (minus July) and it’s been a real home away from home after mine had been flooded. It’s been marvellous and in a way I shall be really sad to be leaving the Croft family. Everything you could possibly want is here. You will certainly have a wonderful welcome and a very comfortable stay.

Lovely little place for a weekend stay in the Peak District. It is in a perfect location for exploring, with many places just a short drive away, as well as some lovely walks in the local area that you can do from the doorstep. The chalet has everything you need for a short stay, including delicious homemade bread and enough cooking equipment to make simple meals. I would highly recommend! (And if you like dogs, Ben the friendly golden retriever is lovely).

I had the most wonderful stay here! A great location to go wandering in the peaks and also spent the day at Lyme Park! Would definitely recommend and will definitely rebook if I'm ever headed to that corner of the world again!
