This is a character room with stunning views. The restaurant attached is well known in the local area for a high standard of food. We enjoyed visiting family and being able to walk back without the need for a taxi.

Big THANK YOU to Polly, John, and your gorgeous dogs Misty and Spud for a wonderful 3 night stay, they were walm and welcoming and put on lovely breakfast each morning. The rooms were large, clean and decorated with vintage pieces. The home was full of wonderful unique picture's and pieces of art and it was so lovely to walk around and take it all in. The grounds are beautiful and the weather allowed us to take full advantage of the pool, which was fabulous. Beautiful location. Own parking area. Clean tidy rooms. Bathroom had a jacuzzi bath which was a god send after all the walks. Selection of cereal in room along with plenty of tea and coffee and a pint of milk in the fridge. Claire and Robbie were great hosts. Gave us a run down of Castleton and where to go. Friendly banter and made us feel very welcome. They were very responsive to anything we asked. Highly recommend this as a place to stay as it is accessible to so many walks including Mam Tor and Castleton has numerous pubs and restaurants to choose in such a small area so there is always somewhere to have refreshment and nourish after a walking day. Great hosts! Wonderful breakfast, perfect and thoughtful local recommendations, very welcoming, cute village location close to all Peak District tourist spots. Would certainly stay here again and recommend to others. Multiple pubs, bakery, and village shops right on the doorstep. Safe, cute, and comfortable place to stay for our Peak District mini break.

Florence's location was just where I needed it to be for a brief, one night stay in Doncaster, and at a very reasonable cost. I did not spend much time at her place, but my room was comfortable enough and Florence was a lovely host. I greatly appreciated both the refrigerator and the fan in the room. Please note, for those like me who might be older - the room I stayed in is on the very top floor (up 3 flights of stairs), the bathroom is down 2 flights of stairs from the room, and the stall shower was not operational during my stay (but the climb-in tub did jhave a hand-held shower unit).

Very pleasant host, willing to help. Some negotiation about our dogs, which was resolved. We particularly liked having our own access door to the annex room. The room had everything required and a very comfy bed.

A'Dell has a beautiful Victorian townhouse in a delightful leafy area of Stockport, full of original details but sensitively restored and updated. I had a very enjoyable and comfortable one-night stay, A'Dell is very helpful and made me feel welcome and relaxed in her home. The room is well equipped and quiet with a view of beautiful gardens and parkland, you will sleep well! The guest bathroom is exceptionally well designed and equipped with traditional roll-top bath and spacious shower. Don't stay in a soulless hotel room; stay in this lovely comfortable home!

We had a wonderful stay at Hill Too Farm. Susan was an excellent host and nothing was too much trouble it seemed. The B&B is extremely comfortable, and the breakfast really good. Most of all Wincle is a very special part of the world, beautiful and wild… and we were pointed to a real gem of a pub, The Ship, for dinner which was a real treat. We will be back!

Fantastic location with quick access to some wonderful walks. The room was beautiful, in fact the whole B&B is, with small touches such as a wide selection of drinks, hot and cold, and home made cakes. The breakfast is superb, again with lots of choice.

We stayed for two nights during our hiking holiday and absolutely loved it! It's a lovely village with a great pub serving delicious dinners—perfect after a day out hiking. I would highly recommend it!

Everything is splendid about this place. The setting is magnificent: a hilltop above the lush Derwent Valley, with a family of deer frequenting the estate, mist rising over the Derwent River, lush groves of birch and other trees extending across rolling fields. Owner Peter Kay and his family have done a remarkable job renovating the old gabled mansion, filling it with tasteful furnishings and fittings and an array of antiques that conjure up its days as the summer estate of the Nightingales -- Florence, her sister, and parents- during much of the nineteenth century. Peter is a fount of information about the legendary nurse and social reformer and her life in rural England, and, following an excellent breakfast prepared by his wife, he led me on an invigorating morning walk, both along the river and on the carriage trails that Florence's father had constructed in the surrounding forest. For both those with special interest in Florence Nightingale and those seeking a serene and beautiful retreat in Derbyshire, I can't recommend Lea Hurst highly enough.

Had a fantastic stay. The room was spot on, very clean with everything we needed. Great friendly and helpful staff. Food was also fantastic and great price. We definitely come back again.

Stephanie is an excellent host, going the extra mile to cater for my vegan needs, as well as providing a wonderful room for me to stay in. the room I stayed in was at the top of the house, with an en suite bathroom and blackout blinds. The location was perfect, as Buxton is fairly central in the Peaks. I wholeheartedly recommend Stephanie and her safe, warm home!

Jenny's place was a real treasure to find. She made my wife and I really feel at home. Very hospitable and nothing was too much trouble. We especially loved using the pod at the bottom of her garden which overlooked the canal.

Absolutely wonderful hosts and a wonderful place to stay in the heart of Bakewell. The room was lovely and had everything we needed, the breakfast was lovely in the sister venue too and we felt really well looked after. Would 100% book to stay here again on a future visit.

We had such a lovely, peaceful stay in Gerry's beautiful home. Gerry was proactive and helpful, whilst also respecting our space. Our room and bathroom felt private, and it was great to have a comfy sitting area to relax in. The breakfast that was provided was a really nice touch (and the bread and marmalade were delicious)! There is so much to see and do in the local area, and we hope to be back for another stay in the future!

Le logement de Joanna est très beau et très propre. Elle pense à de nombreuses petites chose utiles en voyage: sèche-cheveux, bouteille d’eau, mouchoirs,… ce qui est très agréable. La cuisine était aussi à disposition. La maison est à 15 minutes à pied de la gare, dans un quartier résidentiel hors du centre-ville.

This place is AMAZING! we were looking for a place that will quiet and relaxed and close to the peak district and we got that and so much more. this new place is just what we needed. everything was so well planned, the room was clean and the bed so comfortable. Marta's food is incredible and they are both so.nice We can't wait for them to open the Yoga Studio they are planning on for when we can come again we really recommend staying here!!!

We stayed with Leanda & Nige for our wedding anniversary, the perfect place to escape to for peace and quiet and beautiful surroundings. They were fabulous hosts, easy to talk to and really helpful. Our room was beautifully decorated and super clean with great views. We were fortunate to have amazing weather during our two night stay so were able to make use of the garden and take in the beautiful surroundings. We especially enjoyed sitting on the settee on the decking early evening watching the wildlife with a g&t. We loved having a fuss with their gorgeous girls; their two friendly cockerpoos. We also enjoyed a filling, tasty breakfast each morning. The local pub is literally a 5minute walk down the road and serves good food. We have no hesitation in recommending Leanda and Nige's B&B and hope to have a return visit soon.

Fantastic hosts with lovely doggies. they made us feel right at home, like visiting family and we felt instantly comfortable. Despite also living in the space they were very understanding about what we needed for our baby. Everything was clean and amenities provided. was only a flyby stay but I would book here again 💯.
