Mads.. we have no words!! We couldn’t have asked for a more tranquil, quiet, relaxing getaway! We explored a portion of the gardens until finding the video on BHG from the owners of the house and realised they were happy for us to explore more (we needed to see the wisteria even if it is autumn) we just didn’t want to disturb others. The gardens have inspired us for our future home! The cottage was clean, comfortable, and set in an incredible location to make it private. Kangaroos jumped past our windows. We could see birds in the lake. We strolled and found horses to pat and some sheep and chickens enjoying foraging. Would’ve love to have seen the peacock roaming but even a kelpie came close to the cottage to say hello from a distance. The small touches of breakfast in the fridge made all the difference! You were prompt with your replies while we stayed and we cannot thank you enough! We cannot wait to come back and make more lifetime memories in this location!

Beautiful lodge, loved the outlook and the outside area. Was nice having an ensuite for each bedroom. Bob & Patti were awesome hosts. Thanks heaps guys, you should be very proud of your beautiful lodge.

Cute cottage, stumbling distance from the pub and a cafe across the street. The free coffee voucher was a nice touch. You could not get me out of the outdoor bathtub. Perfect location if your n Tenterfield for just a quick stop.

Scott’s Oban Cottage was a cosy, comfortable couples cottage. The bed was very comfortable, the shower hot with excellent water pressure. The kitchen basic but great for a two or three night stay. The gardens were outstanding! My husband photographs birds & was loving the opportunity to take many bird photos. I loved the variety of roses, some with perfume scent. We highly recommend staying at Oban Cottage. Absolutely delightful! Thanks Scott for the opportunity:)

Absolutely loved our stay. Maria was super gracious and responsive and ensured we had everything we needed. And the place itself was gorgeous! So private and surrounded by nature, the fire was cosy and soaking in the baths while the sun was going down was magical.

The lyrebird was just what we needed after a stressful and busy year of work. If you're looking for peace and a place to eacape from the world this is it. The sounds of the water and the birdlife were pure bliss. Dorrigo is a special place and Chai Moy and Leen provided detailed information about all the magical places to explore. The Never Never picnic area walks and Dangar Falls were the highlights for us. Great food at the hotel and the cafe near the Spar supermarket served the most delicious zucchini and corn fritters for breakfast. The cabin has everything you need and is the most wonderful base to return to after exploring the surroundings. We hope to return again soon.

My husband and I recently stayed in Felicity’s cottage. It was such a lovely quiet place to rest. The cottage is spacious, uncluttered and very clean. The autumn leaves surrounding the cottage at present are stunning. We enjoyed the absolute peace and privacy. I highly recommend it and hope to stay again in the future. Thanks Felicity. A perfect spot for a peaceful stay. We loved lighting a fire and watching the stars at night. The garden is lovely, and the cottage is very thoughtfully equipped. It is so welcoming, clean and comfortable.

We were visiting family in Armidale over Easter and this was an ideal base for catching up with them, grocery shopping, eating out or cooking a meal and just relaxing and having some down time. Wonderful to get out of the car in the evening or look out of a window early in the morning and see the milky way.
