Piesta Kuusikaru riverside cottage in Soomaa area

This modern cottage is part of Piesta Kuusikaru farm, our family home, set on the bank of Pärnu river in Soomaa region in western/central Estonia. The cottage is a bright and spacious 2-storey building, designed in nordic style, with wood-burning sauna. Perfect for one family or close friends; ideal for 2 persons, fine for 4 plus an infant sleeping in baby cot. We live onsite and will be happy to show you around the farm including organic apple orchard and the "slow food" production facility.

The accommodation is located in an easily accessible residential area near the city center and the sea. The city center is 5 min by car or 30 min by foot. Everything you need for life is within walking distance, Vana-Pärnu beach is about 1 km away, there is a grocery store next door. A spacious apartment with two separate bedrooms with a separate entrance. A sofa in the living room can be offered as an extra bed. Atsaare on ajalooline talukoht, mis on leidnud viimase viie aasta jooksul uue hingamise ja mis ikka veel areneb ning uueneb. Erilisemaks teeb selle kohta see, et maist- augusti lõpuni on tegemist aktiivse taluga, kus kasvatakse köögivilja. Kuna talvel köögivilja kasvatada ei saa, siis rendime oma pesakest toredatele inimestele välja.

The house has everything you need to make your stay comfortable, including three bedrooms, separate toilet and shower, a full kitchen with a large dining table and a living room with a fireplace in the heart of the house. In addition there is a wood-fired sauna and private access to the river, so you can hop right in from the sauna or take a sup-board or rowing boat and have an adventure on the water.

You’ll have plenty to enjoy at this historic place in a picturesque setting. The barn is built in 1892 and the bedroom still carries its historic feel with the hand cut lodges and many well preserved details like the original ceiling. Most of the materials are re-used, which adds to the feeling of the space. A grand romantic view over the fields will give a feeling of remoteness and escaping everyday.

This compact, all-comfort cottage is located on the shores of a small waterfront in Kuiaru, Pärnu county, by the road Pärnu-Rakvere-Sõmeru. Pärnu’s city line is a 15-minute drive away. The house is located on the same property as our family home, but it is still private and conveniently accessible. The nearest grocery stores and petrol station are located in Selja (4 min) and Sindi (9 min).
