This is a beautiful, tranquil location and lovely home. DM is a very attentive host, almost like a mom :) There were a lot of thoughtfully tailored touches that welcomed us and made us feel at home, including some really lovely breakfasts. It made for a very nice, cozy getaway with a lot of nice perks - massage table, firepit, and a super comfortable hot tub. if you're looking to be charmed by East Sooke, this is a fantastic place for it!

In a word, incredible. This is hands down the most beautiful place I’ve stayed in all of my Airbnb travels. The home is gorgeous and the views of the strait are breathtaking. The host was responsive and kind; we had no issues during our stay and the home was more beautiful than the pictures and descriptions could even capture. It was truly an immersive experience in the beauty of nature. We will be back!

we spent the weekend for my sisters birthday with a group of girls, comfortable setting, getting up early and watching the ocean and exploring the trails near by was wonderful. We will totally be back, even better than pictured!

The suite is clean, well stocked, comfy and spacious. Everything is nice quality and the beds were cozy! The room in the turret with all the windows is breathtaking! The property is stunning, we enjoyed it throughout the day and even at night , just listening to the waves and the wildlife. It would be nice to have more options to enjoy it outside on cooler nights (maybe a hot tub), we couldn’t use the fire table because of the wind. BUT we really can’t complain. The space is as described if not better. The hosts were lovely, very kind and accommodating- they thought of small details, from extra baby blankets to a welcome tray of delightful and delicious essentials (coffee, bread, local eggs and more!) Only thing we didn’t love was the walk in shower, just cause we had little ones with us and it was a bit slippery for them- but we managed. Everything else was true perfection.

My teens and I stayed at Black Otter Cove for a two days. It was such a special place and next time we would plan to stay longer. The outdoor space is serene and the views are stunning. The home itself is beautiful, clean and has so many unique touches. We loved the art inside and appreciated the welcome gift. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

My husband and I had a wonderful 3-night stay at this beautiful home. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and at ease. The space is spotless, thoughtfully decorated, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing getaway. We especially appreciated the cozy touches, peaceful ambiance, and attention to detail throughout the home. The location was perfect—close enough to explore local sights and restaurants, but tucked away enough to enjoy some quiet downtime. The host was responsive and helpful, making the whole experience seamless. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!

My daughter and I had a wonderful stay at Sean’s place. The location is in a quiet neighbourhood located near down town Sooke. All the amenities were there and the house was beautiful. We will definitely recommend his place to stay!

Our family had a wonderful time staying here. We truly appreciated the kayak activity—it’s something we’ll remember for a long time. We loved everything about this place. The cabin in the trees is so unique and cozy—definitely our style. We also explored the nearby bays and beaches every day; they were absolutely beautiful and peaceful. Amazing 1 night stay for the last day of our honeymoon. We enjoyed getting out of the city and relaxing for the evening. The large tub with the view is a nice touch. Our only complaint was that the weather didn’t cooperate with us but the view was still great. 10/10 would stay again
