The house was spotless with plenty of room downstairs for us. The main bedroom was large and lovely with an ensuite shower/ toilet. The other 2 bedrooms were smaller but perfect for our needs. All beds were very comfy. The kitchen/diner was VERY well stocked with everything thing we could have needed. Lovely welcome basket with fresh bread and milk with some goodies too and a fresh bag of coffee. Lots of little thoughtful extras, like books, games, doggy items, beach towels and a fab record player! We loved sitting in the garden in the morning and evening. Hardly noticed there were neighbours as it was very peaceful despite being a residential area. We loved our stay and if back in the area would definitely stay again. Absolutely loved staying in this house and can’t wait to book again house is more spacious than it looks spotless clean and comfy beds very very peaceful and relaxing views are amazing.

We stayed as an extended family for 5 nights and we loved everything about the house and the location. We were very lucky with the weather so spent time outside in all the seating areas in the garden surrounded by wild areas full of birds and butterflies. We spent time on the beach and the children loved it.

Even before we booked David was communicative and helpful. On arrival check-in was extremely simple, and the house was amazing. Decorated tastefully and in neutral colours my friend and I had an extremely relaxing stay Location can’t be beaten, it’s on a quiet road, very close to the sea With an easy 20 minute walk into town. We wanted for nothing, there’s a larger way of equipment, and great basics for cooking. David leaves an excellent guide to the amenities in the area with some very helpful tips and directions. On leaving, I managed to leave my passport and David went above and beyond sending it back to me, I’m eternally grateful for that.

not only is Marcool a beautiful cottage, the scenery and atmosphere in the area is stunning. like something from a film.

Great value, easy to find and check in. Fridge had fresh milk stocked which was a delight for my morning cuppa. The house is a 3 minute walk from a beautiful beach and 100m from a well stocked shop. Great for families.

Dave's house was perfect for our family. It was very clean and there was plenty of room, with the kitchen kitted out with everything you could possibly need. Only a few minutes walk from the beach which is one of the most beautiful on the North Coast. The house has the bedrooms on the ground floor which means you can see the beach from the living room and kitchen which are situated upstairs. Dave was really friendly and helpful and I would definitely stay at his place again. Thanks for a brilliant stay!

This place was fantastic for so many reasons!! Stayed here with 3 other adults and it was perfect. The conditions of the house exceeded our expectations. So clean! The location is just perfect for exploring the area around Oban! We visited and enjoyed Oban, Dunstaffnage Castle, Dunollie Castle, McCaigs Tower and also a short 5 min walk on the bike path to Ben Lora Cafe for breakfast and cafe (which had the kindest family running it!). There is a little convenience store walkable too for little snacks or random items. David was an amazing host. Communicated clearly prior to our stay. Provided a lot of information about the home and about things to do that was so helpful! We would all stay here again!!

Andy’s house is fantastic for a celebration weekend. Twelve of us stayed there comfortably and there is so much public space that it’s easy to do different things yet assemble for meals. The view from the conservatory and garden is stunning. We had one person in a wheelchair and the house worked well for him too. Andy and Joan were welcoming and helpful.

Laura was great answered all questions before and after booking. The caravan was lovely and modern. Nice size and was a winner to see the Yorkshire tea bag amongst other essentials on arrival. The little dishwasher was great to have too. Would defo use again. Thanks Laura :)

Love this place, right by the beach, and a beautiful beach too. The host was so responsive and helpful from start to finish. The place was immaculately clean, just as described, lovely and warm with all the utensils and appliances working exactly as they should. Easy to walk to town, with a Co-Op and pubs and restaurants there. Shower pretty good too. Family bathroom and a small but useful en-suite to the main bedroom

Had a fantastic couple of nights at Williams caravan. Booked last minute for my partners birthday. We took our 1 year old son and our dog with us, we’ve had such good time! The caravan was very clean and very spacious too. William was great host and was very responsive. As for the area the is a nice little bar/restaurant so we were able to watch the football. We had a lovely walk down to Eyemouth to see the seals in the harbour and play on the beech. The coastal walk opposite the caravan has some breathtaking views and is perfect for dog walking. We’re already talking about going back next year for a longer stay.

A great place to spend your vacation, or just a few days to relax and get away from the routine. Very attentive host and great to negotiate with.

The house is a short walk to Polin Beach and perfectly positioned to get to Sandwood Bay. The views are absolutely stunning and the house is so close to Polin Beach, which is so so beautiful and the sunsets there were just incredible. I have never seen water so clear and blue! Even in bad weather it is still a lovely place to be. The house itself is great and have everything you could possibly need. I would 100% recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area.

We had a relaxing short stay from 17th - 19th April in this lovely home. It was a perfect location within walking distance to the beach and lots of excellent restaurants. The outdoor area was a beautiful area to sit and enjoy the sunshine- will definitely book this again.

Saltwater chronicles is an outstanding property . Everything you need is provided. The house is beautiful, private and has stunning views. The bedrooms are beautifully designed, beds are comfortable and each room has its own bathroom. The estate has lovely walks and the coastal walks are stunning. Lovely house in stunning village. Excellent pub and restaurant within few yards walk. House was a great base to explore from and hot tub and log burner were very welcome after a long days walking.

A very spacious, discrete, comfortable and well equipped home, optimally placed to explore the full extent of the islands. The nearby CoOp and garage in Brae have all the supplies you need. Fresh mussels and scallops available daily from the shellfish farm across the bay. Amazing wildlife, including otters on the lawn. Nikita is a super host, very supportive with good ideas, such as where to spot Orcas. The nearby Brae hotel does good dinners. Thoroughly recommend staying as long as you can to enjoy a special place, people and wildlife in the British Isles. Thanks Nikita!

Connie's property was a pleasure to stay in and perfect for our family of varied age group. The teenagers loved the cinema group and the jacuzzi bath was a hit. The view from the living room is spectacular and the location ideal for both the beach and walks to Portstewart. The house is really well equipped. The property is ideally located to watch heavy seas and squalls come charging in from the comfort of an arm chair. Excellently kitted out, there was everything needed to have a peaceful and stress free break.
