"Mystic Country" Farm Stay at 100 Acre Wood

Let us welcome you to 100 Acre Wood, a historic farm and working cattle ranch. Owl's House is a private and stylish guest house nestled within the trees and garden and offers 180° views. Our farm store is stocked with our own TX Longhorn beef and pasture-raised chicken and eggs, plus curated with local products. Enjoy pastoral farm life and our private forest trails, or get out and play in the area's abundance of fine dining, wineries, seasonal attractions, outdoor activities, and entertainment.

Barn Stay at Hanover Vineyards

Get away from it all when you stay in the rustic barn apartment on a beautiful 32 acre goat farm & future winery. Take time to discover our farm including charming pond, walking trails where you will be able to view local wildlife & a barn full of goats, chickens, & ducks. You can visit our winery on the farm! Apartment has one bedroom with 2 full beds. The living room with a pool table, dart board, reclining sofa, and Roku TV. Spend time soaking in the jetted bathtub in our large full bathroom.

Cozy cottage 5 minutes from UConn

Wake up to the morning sun over the lake in the loft, or rise after the sun in one of the two back bedrooms. Enjoy a morning coffee or tea while enjoying the lake view from the live edge bar top overlooking the water and watch for the Swans, Bald Eagles, and Blue Herons. After a hike on the trails, kayaking up the lake into conservation land, or fishing off the dock, relax in the hot tub. As the sun sets over the trees cuddle up on the couch with a good book and keep an ear out for the owls.

Water Forest Retreat -Octagon

Water Forest retreat is a very private 122ft.² electrified and heated cedar octagon next to a brook on 56 acres of forest with a pond, waterfall, marsh and hiking trails. Cozy up in this quiet comfortable space while listening to Goldmine brook while you sleep. Little Rest Studio

Little Rest Studio overlooks 100 acres of conservation land, primarily oak and hickory forest. Recently renovated by the owners and full of personal, handmade touches, this apartment was originally conceived as a temporary ARTIST’S residence and occupies the top story of an English-style BARN otherwise used as a photographer's WORKSHOP. We offer a chance to slow down and meet the season, relax in the warmth of the wood stove or the bath, and be a human in a lovingly handmade retreat.

House on Little River / Writer Retreat

Rustic cottage on on Little River, a lovely trout stream that swishes around rocks. Great place for kids to play! Lake across the street. Canoe. Woods all around. Very quiet except for hush of river. Nice deck extends almost to the river. Gas and charcoal grills. In all ways cozy and pleasant. Nice for couples, writers, artists, travelers, families, and pets—a place for quiet, peaceful people. About the lake: There's no beach. Access is just a narrow path down to the water.

Clark Cottage in the historic village in Chaplin

Up to 14 day stays are OK. This rustic cottage, circa 1850, has antique charm, yet modern comforts. In addition to a living and dining room, there is a vintage kitchen, 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, laundry facilities. Very tall people will have to duck under door ways. Not suitable for children under 12. WiFi and a smart TV. Kitchen ceiling is 6'3.5". An exterior camera is installed to observe wild life passing through the yard. A switch in the laundry turns it off.

Windham Gardens

Our guesthouse is a newly-renovated bespoke cottage located on the grounds of the circa 1750 Windham Gardens estate in the heart of historic colonial Windham Center. The cottage sits in the midst of a private garden, with several intimate outdoor seating areas. The cottage has a bedroom, bathroom, and a orchid filled garden conservatory with a retro kitchenette. The garden cottage is just 15 minutes from UConn and close to numerous restaurants and antique shops.

On The Run Farm

Quiet country setting, minutes from UCONN and easy access from RTE 84 makes this place perfect for visitors traveling through the "Quiet Corner" of CT. Spacious living room, bedroom. kitchen and bath are newly renovated with, hardwood floors, skylights, and windows that allow for lots of natural light. The entryway is private with a lovely porch that is a great place to sit with your morning coffee. Hiking trails can be accessed from the property.

Our barn is in a large field on lot next to our home. Our rental area is upstairs which offers beautiful views of our field and the visiting deer. The eclectic decor is accumulated from years of activism. Our guest room and bathroom are newly renovated. It is a quiet and peaceful area near two state parks. We operate a mail order business in the downstairs area but will not be working while guests are staying with us.

Casinos are 25 minutes away. All appliances are brand new as of 1/20/21.
