This place is spotless, very secure. It was fun having the outdoor grill/pizza oven and the small pool. It is kind of hidden. Francesco meets you on the street above the property in his car and leads you to it. I was a bit nervous following him off the beaten path. It is in an area which is redeveloping and seemed sketchy. He was very welcoming and attentive. The property is completely safe and secure and I would not hesitate to come again. He even came at 4 am to check us out for an early flight. Francesco works very hard to make sure you have an enjoyable time.

wonderful pool, excellent for swimming & relaxing, calm and beautiful surrounding, beautiful houses and absolutely lovely family that runs the b&b. we would definitely come back!

Our stay has been amazing! The host is very welcoming and helpful. The property is clean, very well decorated and furnished. The location in the city center is very convenient. You can leave the car in the garage and enjoy walking through the city. We loved it a lot.!

Gabriele, Giovanni and their sister were extremely generous and hospitable hosts. Very friendly and kind. Very warm welcome with a nice tour of the house and surroundings, explaining how everything worked. They really did everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The house itself is very nice. Properly equipped kitchen. Spacious bedroom with a soft bed. Beautiful surroundings around the house and from the outside terrace, where it’s nice to have a coffee or breakfast, there is a nice view of the sea. Pool area great, with lounge chairs and a nice sitting area. Paolo has lots of good local recommendations for beaches and what to visit. At the house, There are also umbrellas available to take to the beach, which is a nice touch because it allows you to go to the free beaches. Overall highly recommend! A great base to explore valle d’itria!

Allison goes above and beyond. Fully stocked kitchen with fresh eggs ,fruit and wine.Anna brought us fresh pastries every morning, removed trash and changed and refreshed our bedrooms and bathrooms . The King beds and rooms are spacious and comfortable and the exterior has every amenity. Every detail has been thought through. Do not miss the opportunity to stay in this beautifully appointed vacation home.

Judith’s place was one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever stayed. The place itself is more beautiful than the photos and it’s a great place to relax and enjoy peaceful time. Me and my family of 6 had a great time. The place is also a great spot to explore south of Italy. We traveled from Lecce to Amalfi coast very conveniently. Both houses are full with thoughtful details. Swimming pool is amazing. Definitely recommended. Also Vittoria who helped us to check in is super nice.

Villa ampia, con tanto spazio esterno e piscina, ottima la posizione. Livio è stato gentilissimo, ma abbiamo conosciuto anche Vito e Valentina che sono stati disponibilissimi per qualsiasi esigenza e ci hanno molte indicazioni su cosa fare nella zona. Da ritornare sicuramente. Consigliatissimo.

Four of us came to see our grandparents village: for our first time visit Miglionico was charming and told us enough of what we wanted to know. But the village and the location is just so beautiful. I am selfishly grateful that it is not so touristy and that people make me use Italian. I always felt safe. I expect to return again hopefully with my daughter and hopefully to Grazia’s accommodation.

Alloggio molto carino e pulito con tutti i servizi, host gentili e disponibili, a pochi passi dal centro storico. Parcheggio nelle strade limitrofe.

We loved our stay here! Angelo was very friendly and welcoming, and provided useful and practical information to visit Matera and the Gravina; the house was spacious and clean and really had a home-feeling; and what we really appreciated: the stove! Travelling off-season we have stayed in some cold houses, but here it was cosy and warm, directly at our arrival :). Besides, Matera and its surrounding is just amazing and definitely worth a visit!

Mariangela is an excellent hostess, very responsive and helpful. My family stayed a whole month at her holiday home at the top of Matera. I didn't realize how perfect the location was until I arrived, but I couldn't have asked for a better spot in the old city. Just around the corner from the Piazza Duomo, this place has everything you need and want in a place like Matera. If I needed anything or had questions, she and her dad were quick to respond and help. I loved hearing the church bells every day from the Church of Matera. It feels like a central point, since it is at the top, and you can go any direction to descend either toward the valley or deeper into the city. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to explore this beautiful city.

Meget centralt i Sassi Caveosa. Man kan gå til alt. Fin bolig i traditionelt hus med højt til loftet og lille grotte til soveværelse. Der er ingen døre mellem stue/værelse og hems, så man kan høre hinanden, hvis man er flere afsted. I oktober var der ikke gener fra støj fra restauranterne som andre har beskrevet. Dejligt sted at være.

Matera is just wow! It’s very fun to stay in the heart of an ancient city! For most this is a once in a lifetime thing to do! This house has the cave experience while being comfortable and very well located! Really cool place! Take advice and park in the paid lot. We passed the entry to the lot and I am sure we got tickets!

We spent a lovely week in this spacious, tranquil apartment with fantastic views (especially from the kitchen and the narrow balcony off of it). The place is ideally located on the upper part of one of the sassi, making it convenient to restaurants, banking, and to the mercato, food stores and bakery (on Via Ascanio Persio) for self-catering. At the same time, it is tucked away so it is quiet and private. We loved that all the windows and doors (except the front door) had insect screens so we could leave them open. A note that the front terrace is shared with two other apartments, so is not private. Roberto is super responsive and helpful.

Marilisa was very communicative and welcoming. The apartment was in a lovely, in a quiet location and easily accessible to the sights of Matera. The apartment was a great, clean space for our group and the breakfast furnished was perfect.

Da Filomena ci siamo sentiti a casa. Una casetta deliziosa con tutto quello di cui avevamo bisogno. Mia figlia ha amato la sua cameretta soppalcata. È una casa che trasmette amore e ricordi. Pulita e corrispondente alla descrizione. Filomena come host è impeccabile, educata, affettuosa, disponibile e sempre pronto a consigliare. Montescaglioso è stata una piacevole sorpresa.

Siamo stati molto bene nella casa del fornaio, è in un'ottima posizione per visitare i Sassi di Matera. Inoltre Cosimo è stato molto gentile e disponibile, a Matera c'è stato un problema con le tubature dell'acqua e lui si è preoccupato di portarci delle taniche d'acqua per non farci rimanere senza. Consiglieremo sicuramente, grazie!

The location of Flavia's place is incredible and the space itself- wow! To stay in an actual cave is a step back in time, very special. It's spacious and everything was perfect. Flavia was the perfect host, responding quickly to everything we needed, providing local information and more. If you're coming to Matera, you need to stay in this special cave home.

Abbiamo passato un Capodanno indimenticabile in questa casa accogliente e luminosa. Siamo stati in sei, quattro adulti e due bambini. L'appartamento gode di un'ottima posizione. Salone ampio con comodi divani e pianoforte, letti comodi, archi a vista, vista mozzafiato su Matera. Per arrivare si devono salire un po' di scalini e un'ultima rampa di scale ma ne va davvero la pena. Avevamo a disposizione caffè, thè, biscotti e taralli. La cucina è provvista di fornelli e pentole ma non è consentito cucinare.

This apartment has the most incredible views of Matera, much more spectacular than expected. There are numerous restaurants nearby and an easy walk to all places of interest. The kitchen has been recently updated, there is an under bench fridge but no freezer. There are ample plates, glasses etc. Bathrooms are in need of updating but are adequate. There is a washing machine, no dryer but a rooftop clothesline which enabled us to dry our washing. There was no instruction manual for the washing machine, so it took a while to work out how to use it, some instructions would be handy to have in the apartment for the washing machine as well as the microwave oven, but apart from that, everything else was easy to work. There is public parking a short walk away if you are travelling by car which currently costs 10 Euro/day. Our host Paolo was lovely and gave us lots of information about Matera and places to go/eat and visit. All in all a fabulous place with the best view in Matera town

Abbiamo soggiornato dell'appartamento di Piermichele 3 notti e ci siamo trovati molto bene. la mamma, la signora Teresa, ci ha accolti con grande gentilezza. L'appartamento è perfetto per dei soggiorni medio-brevi, c'è tutto, è praticamente nuovo e si trova in una posizione perfetta per girare il paese. A due passi dalla piazza centrale. Ci torneremo sicuramente e lo consigliamo!

Modest with teensy kitchen, minimally outfitted, teensy washer, lots of storage for clothes, comfy bed, more spacious than a hotel room. Secure gated space for car tight, but more than adequate. Six minute drive to Mattera old town parking, five-minute walk to little local convenience store with best ever Buffalo Mozzarella and a little meat counter. Other amenities close by. Host charming, attentive, happy to answer any questions and make recommendations. For a couple of nights for a really good price, was great find. Thank you Emanuele.
