Freek was an amazing host. He helped us understand the surf breaks, helped tell us where to rent vehicles, and also helped with restaurants. He was great. The staff in the Amahula resort were awesome too! This house is beautiful and the pool makes the trip 10x better. There is amazing privacy inside and outside of this house. With a nice living space inside as well as a great patio and pool outside…and outdoor showers. And right next to it you can go to the bar to hang out! Right out front is the beach. Amazing surf breaks within walking distance. Nothing short of awesome, we hope to be back!

My friends and I had a great time at the house it had everything we needed and the Property Caretaker Don Pedro was very helpful and pleasant. I would highly recommend Violetas house to stay in San Juan del Sur.

We had a very nice stay at Casa Pocahontas and felt right at home. The house is decorated with a lot of love and is located about 10-15 minutes walk from Playa Maderas. We spent a lot of time in the open living area with the huge terrace. A great place to relax, read a book or watch the wildlife in the jungle. The kitchen, bathroom and bedroom were well equipped. There was even a yoga mat and blackrolls. If we had any questions, Sebastian was always available and due to the keybox the check in/out was very flexible and uncomplicated. We can only recommend the Casa and would definitely come back again.

I loved Maria's place, not only was it nice and cozy, it was very clean, and you were nice and secluded. the place is pristine. It looks exactly like the photos. Maria was very responsive and want to help. She got me in contact with everyone needed to make my vacation even better. The people there are very friendly. I will definitely come back here. My time in Popoyo was made.

Bella’s place was absolutely beautiful — we stayed for a week and felt right at home. The location is perfect, just a short walk from Beginner’s Bay, an ideal spot for surfing, and conveniently next door to The Salty Koala, a cozy and welcoming restaurant where we ended up grabbing late-night bites more than once. The space itself is stylish, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. A special shoutout to Petrona who had a contagious smile and was super helpful with upkeep during our stay. We’re already looking forward to booking again next year! One thing to note for remote workers: the Wi-Fi can be a bit spotty at times and there were a few short power cuts during our stay. It didn’t impact our vacation, but something to keep in mind if you need a super reliable connection. Otherwise, it’s an A+++ stay.

Very nice stay! thanks to omar & the housekeeper jose, which always helpef us out, if we needed something. The facilities are great, especially the pool and the kitchen. Would stay there again!

Had the most wonderful time at Jean and Coco’s beautiful Airbnb! It’s a luxurious stay that still maintains the vibe of this beautiful country. The property manager on site helped us with everything we needed and answered any questions we had. You’re so close to the beach which felt like a private oasis! If you’re thinking of staying in the area you should definitely book this Airbnb!!

Helen and Lee are fantastic hosts. Their apartment was exactly as described and the images bang on. Messaging Helen and Lee was an absolute breeze. We never had to wait for a response which is great when you don't have roaming cell service and wifi can be limited outside the apartment. The apartment itself was very comfortable and really clean and had everything we needed. The grounds and pool were beautiful and very well kept. I would absolutely stay there again. Thank you Helen and Lee.

It was lovely staying at Mary Jane’s home in SJDS. It was our first time in the town, and luckily we were there during Semana Santa (week leading up to Easter) and we love to partake in the nightlife scene! There was tons to do and the Nicas definitely know how to have a good time. It was great that the home was in the heart of town yet it was quiet and secluded in its own way. The pool was refreshing and fun, especially after a hot day. The nearby restaurant Dale Pues quickly became our go-to, with its delicious food and low prices. Mary Jane was very helpful in setting up transportation, excursions, and restaurant recommendations. We loved going to Ometepe and Playa Hermosa. Thanks Mary Jane!!

Casa Pura Vista was so good to us! The location within Rancho Santana is both unique and convenient. We loved being entirely secluded yet having the amenities of a world class resort. Everything was easy to manage from booking airport transfers to offsite tours. Daniel and his contacts make your stay easy and comfortable. We surfed, saw sea turtle hatchlings, rode horseback, ziplined, and made the best family memories in the infinity pool. The house itself is well appointed with all the comforts of a modern home. Would highly recommend and absolutely stay again.

If you are looking for a private oceanfront accommodation, I recommend this place. It is quiet, spacious, and has a comfortable atmosphere. The ocean is within walking distance, and you can use the resort's facilities, such as restaurants! If you are looking for the most beautiful beach in Nicaragua, I recommend this place.

Appartement bien situé, dans un quartier où l’on se sent en sécurité. Éloigné de la ville, ce qui garantit des nuits calmes sans bruit. La piscine, propre et agréable, est idéale pour se rafraîchir. L’appartement se trouve à environ 25 minutes à pied du centre-ville, ou à 15 minutes en scooter. Je recommande vivement de louer un scooter pour faciliter les déplacements. La climatisation fonctionne très bien. À noter : il y a quelques petites fourmis dans la cuisine, surtout attirées par la nourriture.

Casa 72 was amazing, and the layout is so unique! I would love to come back again and stay for longer. We were a group of 4, 5 and 6 across four nights, and there was plenty of space for all of us. The location is perfect, every room is comfortable and it has everything you need. It's a short walk to anything you may want to find in SJDC. The host was accommodating when we decided to stay another day, and the onsite staff were friendly and quick to respond if we needed anything. I would happily stay here again. Thank you!

Beautiful location and view! Dominic was very friendly and gave us so many good recommendations. The place was very cute and clean and had everything we needed to have a comfortable and fun stay! We definitely recommend to anyone who wants to surf Santana’s to stay here because it’s about a 10 minute walk and so fun! We appreciated the awesome hospitality and look forward to returning in years to come.

Die Unterkunft hat eine grandiose Aussicht und eine super ausgestattete Outdoor-Küche. Wir haben den Uafenthalt sehr genossen. Carolina ist eine fantastische Gastgeberin, super freundlich. Sie hat für unsere Kinder sogar einen kleinen Pool besorgt! Beste Unterkunft unsere Reise!

This place is absolutely wonderful! Situated just across the river from the main area of San Juan del Sur, it offers the perfect balance—close enough to walk to restaurants and bars, yet far enough to enjoy peace and quiet away from the weekend festivities. The river is easy to walk across at any time of the day, making access to town simple and convenient. Ronaldo, who lives on the property with his family, was incredibly helpful throughout our stay. Although we used Google Translate to communicate, he was always quick to assist whenever we needed anything. The house is just a two-minute walk from the beach and features a beautiful outdoor space, perfect for relaxing at home. Highly recommend!

Nous avons adoré l’appartement, particulièrement la terrasse avec la vue et les couchers de soleil. L’appartement est à 10 minutes à pied de la plage. Heureusement le taxi connaissait l’emplacement. Si vous arrivez par vos propres moyens, assurez-vous vous d’arriver de clarté.

This place is heaven! The house is beautiful and the patio is incredible. On the beach with a patio offering bbq, hamac, direct access to pool and access to the beach. They even had a kids table and toys. Master bedroom is just Wow, with view to the ocean. Kids loved the bunk beds. Hot water and a/c. Close town, we would definitely come back!

Ich habe mich im Salitre sehr wohl gefühlt. Ich durfte sogar meine Sachen vor dem Check-In in den Kühlschrank stellen. Das Haus ist geräumig, gut eingerichtet und verfügt über alles,was man braucht. Zum Strand sind es nur 2 Minuten Gehweg.Toll fand ich,dass ich meinen kleinen Hund unkompliziert mitbringen durfte.Die Verwalter kümmern sich herzlich.Insgesamt habe ich mich sehr wohl im Haus gefühlt. Ich komme sehr gern wieder ins Salitre...

One of the best places to stay in Nicaragua. Beutiful beach, very private, great views and a beautiful house. We had a wonderful time. Totally recomended. Carolina is a great host. Felt right at home. The house has everything you need to have a wonderful vacation. It is a pets friendly house , so we took our beagles , and they had a wonderful time too.

This house is perfectly nestled just a short 3 minute walk to the beach where you can surf, eat etc and super spacious. There is no a/c so you will be warm but there’s fans. There is a surf cafe across the driveway which is convenient. Note: things close early! Unfortunately our first night we went to get dinner at 8pm and everything was closed. There is a hotel in a very steep dirt road (very dark) but it only takes about 10 mins and they are open til 9pm for dinner. Overall - a perfect location, it’s quite remote so come prepared with lots of cash as there are no ATMs or ways to pay with a card, unless you get the shuttle to town 20 mins away. Will be back for sure!
