What a delightful stay! Leda is a fantastic host, and her home is absolutely a great find. So quiet and safe. The house backs up onto a salt water lagoon—it’s a nature lover’s paradise. The beds are the best, excellent sleep is in your future here. The location is conveniently located to jump on the light rail to the ferry building and then San Francisco, or go to the Marin coast, or Sonoma. One should not let this opportunity pass by.

I booked this rental of behalf of family members who were visiting San Francisco for an extended 9 day stay over the holidays. Martina’s place is an easy 10 minute walk from my own home which made it a perfect location to have family close by. The rental unit, which is downstairs from the main residence, is as advertised and looks just like the photos. Upon arrival, Martina met us to walk us through the property and make sure everything went smoothly. She was super helpful and responsive to any questions throughout the stay. The apartment was very cozy and good size. One thing worth noting is that you need to walk outside (on the back porch) to get between the two bedrooms. This was not an issue but might be say for parents with small children. Each bedroom had a fridge and bathroom, so the separation actually provides additional privacy, if that’s what you are looking for. The outside space, particularly the hot tub & attached sauna were especially enjoyed. Great stay!

Danna is a lovely host! She made delicious breakfast and also hosted house dinners, where she made a simple but delicious 3-course meal! The room is beautiful and has a stunning view. I also love the neighborhood. I had a great time and hope to be back soon!

Staying with Sandor and Giuliana was wonderful for our first time in San Francisco. It felt like staying with a host family while studying abroad or visiting a distant family member. We enjoyed breakfast together most mornings and had fantastic discussions. This is definitely a room in a lived-in home, as opposed to a separate living space or wing. Our hosts had their adult children/friends pop by, the home is equipped for elders, and although our hosts will match your level of sociability and give you space, it’s not a blank slate hotel room experience. The bedroom is large and the bed is comfortable! The double paned glass windows block out all street noise. Everything is clean! You really can see the Golden Gate Bridge from the breakfast window. The bus system is right outside the door and easy to use, and 15 minute walk to Chrissy Field South Beach and close to stores, restaurants, and nature. Very safe neighborhood. Definitely worth it to stay here versus Union Square.

room was bright, luxury towels and robe nice touch. it was great to have a fridge with breakast food and drinks right next to room. also it was quiet.

These 2 lovely souls blew my mind , I have never felt while traveling and showing up ..that I was exactly where I needed to be and with whom. These are some amazing people they went above and beyond to help me and my husband feel that I was safe, coming alone myself this journey. Great place , anywhere you need to go boom, easy peasy I spent one day Haight, then downtown getting ink therapy , another at the aquarium! The cats are there if you ever feel lonely to snuggle and love ya :) what a gorgeous home they have made that I was happy to be sharing , and Doug will make you feel like his family as will Richard who always looks like he just came off a movie set especially when he sweetly says hello and makes your morning cup of joe … I treasured this and will be back ! Truly cannot wait!! thank you both so much, to any fellow travelers as long as you are a good being of the planet, this is the place to stay. Om mani padme hum

Good Place if you’re looking for something quick in the city, front desk was great & the breakfast was cool. Community kitchen was a very nice touch!

I had a great stay at Skate and Jeannie’s. The music room was a creative, relaxing space. The backyard was absolutely gorgeous. The home is across the street from a well known local park, and the Mission is a short walk away. Solid stay altogether.

I stayed at Lana’s for a month & I felt home as soon as I entered! Lana is extremely helpful & kind & is around to help with anything her guests might require. Can’t afford to miss her suggestions buddy. She was also kind enough to help me with my cooking, picked me from BART station couple times & we did share meals along! House is extremely convenient, just 10 mins from El Cerrito BART or 2 min cab ride. There are stores & cafes around for food & drinks. I’ve come home late night 2-3am & it felt totally safe. Lana has an amazing garden & I spent a lot of my time there. Extremely well maintained & equipped with all amenities anyone might require. If you’re looking for a stay in/around Bay area, think no further! I initially felt reviews are hyped & overrated, but based on my review now, we can conclude all are 100% true & there’s no doubt Lana is a SUPER HOST! Next time I visit Bay area, I know there’s a place I can call home! Thank you, Lana for being an amazing host!!!!!

We loved staying at Rye and Robin! Perfect place to explore SF. Mission district is an amazing neighbourhood. Can highly recommend this place!!

Pamela and Richard went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and acquainted with the space. They met us for check in and made us feel right at home. We enjoyed many a wonderful conversation with them throughout our stay over breakfast which they thoughtfully set out each morning. Their house was stunning and walking distance from Piedmont and College Ave which made our stay very fun and easygoing. There were so many personal touches along the way, including homemade jam and honey with the breakfast. We would be honored to be able to stay again sometime.

It was nice staying at Richatd's house. He was a wonderful host that treat you with upmost respect. I would definitely stay again. Thank you, Richard for everything.

Great place. Wonderful modern remodel. Sarah and Pankaj have set up an ideal communal space. I was quite happy with my room, the house, the location… the price was relatively affordable for the area and SF. I had my car and thoroughly enjoyed having ample street parking in a safe peaceful neighborhood. Great city views and access to all you need. Convenient Whole Foods… and a pedestrian bridge over the 101 that puts you into the heart of the Mission District. I would happily return.

Terry showed me the Half Moon Bay. Food was good, rose garden, rooms, local restaurants and a tiny local book store reminds me a lot for the disappearing life in my youthhood. If you visit SF with your family, I would recommend you considering the B&B and stay one night to check out couple local services. It will be gone soon, but it is beautiful.

I’m so grateful to Dan & Traci for getting a shower stall mat for me. I’m 6 weeks out of foot surgery and didn’t feel safe in the shower. From Hawaii, on their vacation, they ordered one for me. I’m so grateful.

Darcy's and Nick's is a true b&b in the old-school sense. My wife and I enjoyed a fabulous, home-cooked breakfast every morning. The breakfast selection changed every day. As guest Dave-from-Bozeman wrote, Darcy bakes awesome sourdough bread, and it was freshly out of the oven for us to enjoy when we arrived. So, our stay started out on a high note (which was sustained throughout the stay). The space is clean, artfully decorated, comfortable, roomy, and the area is quiet. The location is great: about 1/2 block from Golden Gate Park. The hot tub on the upper patio was a delightful place to relax after long walks around the city. Darcy is the ultimate host (Nick was out of town, so unfortunately we did not get to meet him): she communicates quickly and clearly, and she is a great conversationalist. By the time we checked out, we had become friends with her. This was a 5-star stay in every aspect, and we look forward to our next stay at Darcy's and Nick's!
