We loved our stay at Shangri-la cottage. It's got a prime location that is absolutely beautiful and with the best parking space in Staithes. Clare is very good at communicating and she accommodated our need of a late check out which was much appreciated. Everything is in walking distance and the beach is outside your front window. Only small critiques are the cleaner needs to pay a little more attention to detail as it was quite dusty in places and the mattresses on the bunks were a little uncomfortable, also soft furnishings could do with updating such as pillows and cushions are a little tired. Needs a few tweeks to update it but overall still worth the money as its the best location you will get. Thank you Clare

Stayed over the Easter bank holiday weekend, great pre arrival instructions and local recommendations were really helpful. Easy to find, park and access the property. Everything inside was immaculate and in good order. Whitby centre easily walkable. No hesitation in recommending to others.

We had such a restful stay, felt right at home the minute we walked in. The views were stunning and really allowed you to relax.

We absolutely loved our New Year break at Curious Crab. The village is idyllic and the cottage was beautiful. We all felt relaxed and at home. Each room felt very special, the kids loved sleeping in the attic and the open fire was the icing on the cake. Rob was a brilliant host. Very responsive and helpful when needed.

Lovely weekend away in Sandsend. A beautiful holiday home just a 2 minute walk to the beach. Nice and private, plenty of parking, would recommend.

lovely old cottage ideally situated next to the sea, so perfect just to leave the car parked up and walk over to the beach. The cottage itself was very spacious,with a large lounge, two large main bedrooms with one extra bedroom above. The kitchen/ dining area was ample enough and contained all we needed, as were the two separate bathrooms for each of the main bedrooms. The beds were extremely comfortable and there was no skimping on the quality of the bed linen and pillows. We certainly give this lovely old cottage a 100% thumbs up and would totally recommend it to all!

We loved staying in The Haven. The location is literally a few yards from the beach, as well as the small number of shops, cafés and pubs. The house was spotless when we arrived and has bundles of character. It also had all the facilities we needed. Gordon was so friendly and helpful, from the moment I booked right through to telling us the cottage was ready for us to check in earlier than usual. For a family of four I can’t recommend The Haven enough.

An amazing house with so much character and charm. It was perfect for 6 kids (5-11years) and 5 adults. Plenty of space to sleep, eat and socialise. 5* review! Would definitely recommend to any large family or group! Was perfect! Thank you Photographer’s House! X

The place was exactly what we were looking for and is a great base to explore Whitby, close enough to be convenient but also far enough away to be able to retreat from the crowds. The setting is very unique beneath the arches of the viaduct and it is very peaceful and relaxing.

Lovely building. Plenty of space. Well decorated, uptodate-loved the master and kitchen. Very comfortable supportive beds. Downsides-no window covering in attic bedroom and some steep stairs with no handrail made it awkward for the children and upstairs WC very cosy but functional. Fab walks along the seafront/promenade. Beach 10 mins walk away-very big. Watch your step as dog poop galore-nothing to do with house owners but a shame. Walk the other way and great architecture and views across the working harbour. Host very communicative on a couple of slight issues. Recommended and hope to be back.

We were a group of 6 adults and one baby, and we all loved staying at this accommodation. Close to the centre and sea front. Lovely house with everything we needed and Sarah was very helpful and set things up for the baby. Very clear, easy instructions for parking.

We had a lovely stay in monkeypowder. We loved the layout with the bedrooms downstairs and living area on the ground floor. The living room has great sea views and an area to sit and lookout. There is a huge comfortable sofa and great wallpaper of a view of Scarborough. The kitchen is modern and well equipped and a great space to enjoy a meal together. The bedrooms are spacious with comfortable beds and a modern ensuite. The apartment was spotlessly clean and we loved the quirky furniture. Free parking was a bonus and a great location to explore Scarborough.

The house was immaculate everyone in a party of 6 had space to do our own thing and yet had fun to be altogether in one room.

Lovely cosy cottage in an amazingly central location. Was surprised how quiet it was baring in mind we were in the centre of town! Comms were excellent from Gill throughout Bedrooms comfy and master bedroom very spacious. Lovely new shower room with excellent shower. Downstairs was a tad on the small side for us with 2 children but that's only because the children have so much stuff and I did know this when booking. Perfect for 2 or perhaps just adults :) We drove and kept car in long stay car park which is a 5-7 min walk from cottage but you can park up and unload so wasn't an issue at all. Kitchen has everything you need Fire was lovely and cosy in the evening too. Thanks for a lovely stay xx

A tranquil haven with a short walk down to the beach and beautiful harbour of Staithes.

We all enjoyed our few days in Sea Star, exactly as described, clean & a homely feel, it’s hard to find a negative point, if pushed then parking was our only problem we had a short walk to & from the car with bags & clothes etc but, used a near by side street, most coastal stays are like this, also there is a pay & display car park, that said , would still recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay in Whitby, short walk to anything you would need & the accommodation really does include everything you would need, so nicely presented. Care & thought has been taken .👍

Caroline is a fantastic host. Her home was perfect. It had everything we needed and more. Some lovely small details that make it extra special on arrival- welcome pack, well stocked (cleaning materials, dog throws and bowls etc). Fantastic location. We loved how peaceful it was at the cottage and the close proximity to the beach. We would definitely recommend staying at Paddy’s cottage and hope to be able to return there in the future.

had a great 3 nights at Bridget's, it's ideally situated half way up the hill so convenient for going up or down into village, the cottage itself was v comfortable for the 5 of us and a dog, had all amenities and stuff you need for a holiday stay, thank you Bridget

The place was clean and every eventuality was catered for. Great location, easy walk to beach, town and parks. Garden ideal for dogs and little gifts, especially Tags were a great idea!
