This place is a goldmine! If you’re looking to get away from the resorts and enjoy a stunning beach then here is where you need to book. The views and the pool were gorgeous. Carl was quick to respond to anything we asked or needed. I highly recommend this amazing apartment. It’s got air conditioning, all the kitchen equipment you need, not that we used it except for the coffee machine, he even allows you to use snorkel gear and kayak. Carl has to be one of the most gracious hosts ever! It’s right next to a little bar and fish market. The huge glass doors open to beauty and splendor. It’s a bit of trek down to Bridgetown, but that’s what we wanted. Our only complaint was the water pressure in the shower. There’s not much of it and so showering wasn’t the best. But I assure you - it’s doable. The view and the host more than make up for the shower!!

The villa is located in the picturesque fishing village of Moontown. The villa's beachfront location provided direct access to the beach. I was able to purchase fresh lobster and fish from the local fishermen to cook. BTW, I visit Bim often and The Fish Pot has the most amazing food. The local residents were warm and welcoming, and I thoroughly enjoyed engaging in friendly conversations with them while swimming. The beach itself was immaculate and perfect for swimming and exploration. The views of the ocean from the villa were undoubtedly the highlight of my experience. While some previous reviews mentioned noise from the nearby main road due to passing buses and cars, I personally didn’t find it disruptive. I live on a busy street myself, so I was accustomed to such sounds. In fact, I found that the natural rhythm of the ocean waves crashing in the evening often drowned out any vehicular noise. The villa was equipped with firm and comfortable beds, and the water pressure was good.

A Perfect Beachfront Escape in Barbados! We had the most incredible stay at this stunning two-bedroom apartment right on the beach in Barbados. The location is unbeatable—literally steps from the sand and just next door to the Royal Fairmont Pavilion. It’s also just a short, scenic walk to the iconic Lone Star restaurant, which became a favorite spot for dinner. The apartment itself was beautifully appointed—spotlessly clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing holiday. Waking up to the sound of the waves and enjoying morning coffee on the balcony with a view of the turquoise sea was absolute bliss. What truly made our stay exceptional, though, were the hosts, Olivia and Simon. From the moment Simon greete us, we felt incredibly welcomed. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, offering local tips and ensuring everything ran smoothly throughout our stay. This is a fantastic little spot in the middle of things in St. James. Check in was easy and despite a few unexpected mishaps during our stay, Dawne was communicative and her responses were timely. We suggested she get a "welcome book" with vital info like the WiFi password and local eateries for newbies vacationing in this area. Just a lovely place and host! We would DEFINITELY book again with Dawne on a return visit.

Lovely 2 bedroom/2 bath unit within the Glitter Bay property. The unit is under new ownership since we stayed there in March 2019 and its been completely and very well renovated since our last visit. White floors and comfy white living room and patio furniture, well equipped kitchen, nice bathrooms, good washer and dryer — everything felt and looked clean and well maintained. Only downside is that there is only one tv in the unit, in the living room; with older children traveling with us, it would have been nice if the bedrooms had televisions and the one in the living room had been a bit bigger. The unit has a nice view of the property and a peak of the ocean from the wonderful enormous covered terrace. There was housekeeping everyday but Sundays and they did an excellent job. For those who haven’t stayed at Glitter Bay before, the property is on one end of a lovely 1/2 mile white crescent beach with relatively calm waters — think snorkeling vs. boogie boarding. Lots of water activities (jet skis, sailing, kayaking) are easily available or can be arranged at the Fairmont. A small bar/restaurant is on site during the day and there is a beach attendant who provides beach/pool towels and, with your input, assigns you lounge chairs for your stay so there is no need to run down to the beach early in the day to put your stuff on beach chairs to “reserve” them; there are also plenty of umbrellas at the beach to provide shade during the heat to the day. For those who like swimming pools, there is a good sized pool for laps and kids to play in as well as a nice kiddie pool. Next door is the very high end Fairmont Royal Pavilion. While not cheap, they have a good restaurant for breakfast, lunch or dinner which overlooks the ocean. Farther down the beach is the Lonestar Hotel and Restaurant. It also serves a lovely breakfast, lunch and dinner by the beach but is a bit fancier than the restaurant at the Fairmont and quite pricy. It is easy to walk about a mile or take the public bus/drive/taxi into Holetown. There is a very well stocked Massey’s Supermarket, for those who need supplies and/or want to cook while staying at Glitter Bay, as well as a liquor store. Limegrove shopping center has a number of upscale show and restaurants. Good restaurants in Holetown include Nishi, The Mews, and Fusion Rooftop, with Paul Owen’s Beach House just outside of town. The area around Glitter Bay is relatively low density and low key compared to the areas closer to Bridgetown or Oistens. We really love it and hope to go back to Barbados and stay at Glitter Bay #207 again next year.

Amazing stay at Glitter bay! The apartment was wonderful, Brian was a great host and Susan the housekeeper was also fantastic. Glitter bay itself is beautiful and the beach restaurant food really tasty at a reasonable cost.

We booked Desert Rose because of reasonable price, beach proximity, beautiful garden as per AirBnB photos and kind owner as per AirBnB comments. And we weren’t wrong! This is cute one bedroom apartment just enough for 2 people, with Barbadian feel and small patio surrounded by beautiful garden. It is located in very charming neighbourhood. Location is closer to the beach than AirBnB map shows it, it is next to main road so beach area is just across the street. Haywood beach has one of the calmest water on the island. Kitchen is fully equipped and it has very practical layout. There is AC in the bedroom which we used during the night only. If you rent a car, you can park it in front of the house. The apartment is located on the ground level while Wendy lives upstairs. She is there whenever you need her, otherwise you won’t notice her. We enjoyed talking to her so much and she really helped us learn more about Barbados and its people. Thank you for having us Wendy

Lex’s place had it all. There is a beautiful beach right outside the back door, it’s walkable to a grocery store, several cafes and bars and the Friday fish fry. We also could grab busses right outside the house to get to Bridgetown for more beaches and restaurants. Walking around felt safe (well lit) but of course be aware of your surroundings and the cars wiz by so be aware of where the sidewalks are. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of space. We loved how there were lots of towels and pillows! The only thing to prepare for is that the second bedroom gets traffic noise so maybe bring earplugs if you’re sleeping in that room.

Fab place in a great location! Off the main road so away from the traffic and a beautiful sea view. The place was big with a huge lounge area and lovely sundeck which we loved. Unfortunately we didn’t get to go down the steps and use the little beach/ swim due to sargassum that arrived a few days before - it was a shame but that’s nature and can’t be avoided of course. Instead we could easily walk or jump on a ZR to another beach. One thing to bear in mind is that it can be a bit noisy from the nearby bars late at night but with ear plugs it was ok. Overall we had a lovely stay and would definitely come back! The owners were also accommodating with a late check out which really helped us.

Fantastic house, beautiful west facing views for sunset over the sea, really close to Fish Pot restaurant with beach and pier to swim off. The house itself is even better than the photos, and the rooms are all to a high spec with aircon and lots of space. We liked being at the quieter end of the island, it's very private and quiet. David and Chris were excellent hosts, Chris was very helpful and gave us suggestions for lunch restaurants on the beaches. Would highly recommend and stay again, thank you.

I just love everything about this house . You feel like you are living in the heart of Barbados . Milena and Mark are the best hosts. So attentive and friendly ❤️

Pure paradise! I would book this Airbnb again and again. The house had everything you would want. Waking up everyday to the view felt like I was in a movie. We were able to walk to restaurants, and an IMart for food. Taxis and buses were right outside the front door to go an explore the island. We went with 8 people and rented the whole house. The owners were so nice, they met us when we got there gave us a tour and were very responsive if we had questions. Do not hesitate to book this house. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Superbe semaine! L’intérieur était encore mieux que sur les photos. Très propre et Alicia était très avenante. Cuisine très bien équipée, air climatisé partout, accessoires pour la plage fournis (chaises, parasol, serviette). La plage Thunder bay est de l’autre côté de la rue (rue très passante néanmoins). Belle plage animée avec bar et resto mais aussi de l’ombre (très appréciée avec des enfants). Merci pour la belle semaine!

This may be the best Airbnb I've ever stayed in! Great location, amazing views, well equipped, and wonderful hosts! Hannah and Russell were extremely communicative and helpful throughout the entire stay. Next time I'm back in Barbados I will be aiming to stay here again!

We spent 11 great vacation days at the blue waters condo. We felt at home from the very first moment! It has enough space, is clean, well equipped, cozy garden, quietly located.... The location is also excellent, a short walk to our favorite beach, Oistins is also within walking distance. And the communication with Alicia worked great! We loved our stay at Mary’s place. The unit had plenty of room for 2 adults and 2 teenagers. The balcony was very spacious, and we spent a lot of time out there enjoying the view. The location was perfect. There are plenty of restaurants on the street, and 2 beautiful beaches within walking distance. There is a convenience store just down the road that is well stocked, but pricey. Clifton Market is a good choice if you’re walking. If driving the Massy store is the best option. The pool area is really nice. We all spent a good amount of time there. We used the full-sized, free washers and dryers that were down by the pool instead of the one in the unit. There are a couple of loud pubs across the street that play music well into the night. Honestly, this did not bother my wife our I in the master bedroom. We barely heard it unless we went to the bathroom. My kids in the other room were also not bothered by it. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it.

We can’t recommend Rosanne and Doug’s place enough! We traveled with our two kids and we already want to come back. The condo was absolutely beautiful and more than we could have asked for. The location was wonderful, and was easily walkable or a short drive to many local restaurants and beaches. The condo itself was very clean and had everything (and more) that you’d need for your stay. Rosanne went above and beyond prior to our arrival by providing helpful suggestions, answering questions, providing baby gear, and even looking at the grocery store ahead of time to help us get a better understanding of the ingredients in certain items to help accommodate my son’s dietary restrictions. She even provided us with local fresh juice and some snacks which we all loved. We had the chance to meet Rosanne and Doug, and can’t say enough about their kindness. If you’re considering booking their space, do it! You will love it!

This condo is amazing, with a 5 star responsive and helpful host, in a safe area with many restaurants in walking distance. Also, gym was small, but had new equipment. Thank you Peter!

We loved our stay. Janet is a super host and always responds to messages. The apartment is much nicer and bigger than the photos show. Although the pool area isn’t that big, the beach and view and stunning. We would highly recommend the apartment and it’s nice and secure.

We had a lovely and relaxing stay at Maxwell Beach Villas! Yonette was an excellent host- always prompt in answering our questions. We were welcomed with rum punch and fresh rum cake! The pictures accurately describe the layout of condo and it was extremely clean and neat upon arrival . The view of the ocean and pool really blew us away, we never got tired of sitting on the terrace and enjoying the ocean view. It is important, though, to mention that the beach directly in front of the property is much smaller than shown in the pictures. I do wish the photos were more accurate to the current state of the beach. There is a large amount of seaweed there as well. For this reason we didn’t use the beach directly on the property but luckily it’s a short drive to many gorgeous beaches which we enjoyed throughout the week. The condo is also situated near many restaurants and stores. Our children loved the pool on the property and swam every day. Overall this was a very relaxing vacation!

We have just returned from an idyllic 10 days staying at Robert’s apartment. We started and ended each day sitting on the spacious balcony watching the waves. The apartment is really close to the beautiful Rockley beach where we enjoyed swimming each day, the sand was amazingly soft. There are a number of lovely restaurants close by but the apartment was also very well equipped when we wanted to eat in. Robert and June were really responsive with any questions we had which made this a really relaxing and stress free holiday. We would thoroughly recommend the apartment.
