Sjávarborg is one of the best restaurants I've tried. They change the menu often so the locals won't get tired of it (or at least I think that's the reason) and I've loved everything I've ordered.

Sightseeing
First of all, this is the main Tourist Information center where you'll get all the information needed.
This is a small 'museum' about different species of seals around Iceland and you can go at any time, that is while it's open.
What I think is more interesting is to go Seal-watching. A trip on a bout you'll won't regret. The Seal-watching bout is next to the Seal Center.

The one and only grocery store in Hvammstangi and nearby. It's non-expensive and for a small town like ours, the grocery selection gets 10/10. As you will see, the store has a small liquor store as well where you can buy beer and/or wine (but as you probably already know it's really expensive in Iceland)

Entertainment & Activities
The Swimming Pool and the Sporting Hall in Hvammstangi.
Through the years the swimming pool has been complimented a lot. It has everything you need; 25 meters swimming pool, 3 smaller and hotter pools, a steambath and of course a slide.
Sporting Hall is open all day and for a small price you can do some activities there.
