This quaint little café serves ice cream made with natural ingredients. Their waffles, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside make a perfect accompaniment to the ice cream. Their flavour options are extremely attractive and they occasionally have mystery flavours, where you can make attempts to guess the flavours. If you managed to get it right, you’ll get the scoop for free! Address: 347 Bukit Batok Street 34 #01-260 Singapore 650347 Opening Hours: 1230pm-9pm daily. (Closed on Monday)

Alif, in my opinion, has one of the best pratas I have ever eaten. I fell in love with their curry, just like many others. The place is packed with customers almost every night and you’ll often have to wait around for an empty table. Remember to get a cup of their teh-tarik which strikes the perfect balance between being a fragrant tea and a sweet treat. OH! And Milo Dinasour. European style food and groceries. They have an excellent selection of Western food, including pasta, taco, pella, bbq. One stall sells delicious Russian cake. There is also a Japanese place, great bars for beer and wine. Either by drive or take taxi. If you take public, you end up walking around 20 min. They do have shuttle services, but infrequent. The price is generally quite high.

This lovely bakery sells cakes and pastries of all kinds - from the more "western" NY cheesecakes, to the truly asian confectionaries like the chinese peanut candy, and the more localised versions of tarts and muffins... Their burnt caramel glazed egg tarts and custard puffs are no longer a secret. This place is a must-visit for not just it's delectable bites (which are all really cheap), but also for it's old-school charm, reminiscent of what bakeries were like in Singapore before the rise of gourmet and hipster cafe places! https://www.tripadvisor.com.sg/ShowUserReviews-g294265-d6603488-r204318156-Ng_Kim_Lee_Confectionary-Singapore.html#

Parks & Nature

Attraction: As this park looks similar to that of Guilin in China - a granite rock sitting within a lake and its beautifully landscaped, many wedding couples like to come here for their wedding outing photograph. There are a myriad of birds to be seen over here. Scroll down to see what could be seen here, with a little patience. Wake up to the morning sounds of birds chirping and come down to the parks for your morning exercises, or wind down your day with a slow leisurely jog around the parks. You can jog on the tracks, exercise your muscles on the fitness stations or practise group tai-jis on the open areas. How to get there: Take a train and alight at Bukit Batok MRT Station. Take a five minutes walk to the Bus Interchange and cross the traffic light in front of the bus interchange buses turn in point. Cross the traffic light and turned to your left hand side, you will see a bus-stop there. Take bus service numbers : 985 (alight at the fourth bus-stop excluded the one you aboard the bus), 174, 157 and 66 (alight at the third bus-stop excluded the one you aboard the bus).

caught the MRT to the National Botanic Gardens. Jacob Ballas Childrens Garden located a reasonable distance from the MRT entrance to the gardens. Entry to the children's garden is free. The garden is for children under twelve. Inside the entrance we walked past trees bearing papayas and bananas and also saw pineapples growing. These were of interest to a child who had only seen these fruits in a shop. We walked under a waterfall and over a suspension bridge to a playground complete with sand, a treehouse that you reached by climbing ladders and then slid down covered slides to the ground. There was a wonderful tree with stout branches that was great for climbing. The garden was shaded and provided a superb place for the many children to play and learn. We completed our visit by enjoying tasty ice creams at the cafe just outside the entrance, a cafe that catered for children as well as for their parents. Picnics are no more allowed in the gardens, for that, walk for 2-3 min to be connected into the Botanic gardens and picnic by the lake there while watching the black swans!
