After dinner you are just a few hundred feet from the beach for an enjoyable walk back to the house.

There is a lot of information about the channel Islands and Chumash culture, the native inhabitants of this area. The visitor center has tours and information about the Channel Islands which are just off shore and visible from our beach. Next door to the center is the office of Island Packers, where you can catch a boat to one of the islands or go whale watching.

Just steps from our house is a beautiful neighborhood beach where you can enjoy the sounds of the waves breaking and smell the sea air and enjoy the sights and the sounds of the Pacific Ocean. If you walk north on the beach to the next jetty you will be at the State Beach park. If you keep walking you will end up at the pier. It is so relaxing to sit on our neighborhood beach and watch the world go by and relax and enjoy the beach ambience. Our house has beach towels, chairs and umbrellas, boogie boards, sand toys for your use. We even have a nice selection of books to read.

IT PICKS UP on the SW corner of Seaward and Pierpont BLVD starting at 11:20am, 12:20, 1:20, 2:45, 3:45, 5:00, 6:00, 7:00, 8:20, 9:20, 10:30pm. It takes you to the Harbor, Mission/Museum (downtown), Amtrak Ventura station, Pier and then back to Seaward Ave. It runs from 11:00am to 11:00pm Wednesday thru Sunday. Our house is a 5 minute walk to the stop. Call 805 827-4444 if you have questions.
