Sightseeing

Mdina, also known by its titles Città Vecchia or Città Notabile, is a fortified city in the Northern Region of Malta, which served as the island's capital from antiquity to the medieval period. (Wikipedia) This is a stunning place to visit if you want to get breath taking views of Malta. You can spend hours roaming through the small streets, have a great lunch at "Fontanella" with panoramic views over the island, have an ice cream or even visit one of many churches!

Valletta is Malta's Capital city. In Valletta, you will find some of the most fascinating places to visit and things to do whilst in the Maltese Islands. Among these places in Valletta are the famous Upper Barrakka Gardens with stunning views over the Valletta Grand Harbor. Saint James Cavalier, Manuel Theater and many beautiful churches. During the night there are many little tapas bars in "Straight Street" where you can have a glass of wine, snacks, and get a feeling of what it once was like living in these small streets!

Gozo is known for its neolithic Ġgantija Temple ruins, rural hiking paths, beaches and scuba-diving sites. One of the most famous places in Gozo is the "Azure Window" I recommend going on a hop on hop off bus and taking the tour around the island, that way you will spend one full day getting to know the little island in and out!

Getting Around

Here you can catch the bus doing in any direction you want, to the South, North, West & East. It is very typical of Malta to NOT be ontime, so its best to go a bit earlier and plan ahead! There are bus schedules, however it is highly likely that they will be late or even earlier than what is written.

Entertainment & Activities

This is a very cool place to go when you want to relax by an infinity pool with the panoramic views of the ocean, and in the distance Gozo and Comino. Entrance fees are usually 15 Euros during summer periods. There is a pool menu with light snacks, and then there is the restaurant menu which has more of a selection, and richer plates. This is a must! :)

Parks & Nature

Dingli is quite far away from Sliema, around 40 minutes by car and 1+ hours by bus. Dingli offers breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea with cliffs so high they might make you feel a bit dizzy! (Recommended not to go all the way to the edge of the cliff due to corrosion of the stone) There is a tiny chapel dedicated to St. Mary Madgalene perched on the edge, marking the highest point on the Maltese Islands. This is a must if you are in for a beautiful walk and some jaw dropping views!
