Literally the best place ever to get bread and sweet pastries. Everything is baked fresh. This bakery is known all-over, and folks from neighboring cities/towns come for a fresh baguette or rosemary garlic bread. On Saturday mornings they make ham and cheese croissants that sell uberly fast!

top notch traditional Japanese restaurant. It was considered Boston's best sushi restaurant of the year for 5 years running. They're esteemed for making sushi that they don't ordinarily make at other restaurants. The decor is nothing short of breathtaking. It's really great to go with friends or with family. Did I mention that they give you warm towels to wash your hands with before taking your order? Some nights the servers dress in traditional garments. * ~15 mins walking *

Small family-owned and run Italian restaurant. I personally am not a big fan of Italian food, but It's the only restaurant that I'll go back to consistently for their seafood marinera. Typically when stuck eating Italian food, I'll eat the protein and leave the sauce and pasta alone, but this restaurant was a game-changer for me. * Under 10 mins walking *

Drinks & Nightlife

Voted the most authentic Hookah Lounge in Boston. The prices are great, they have awesome tea served traditionally in glass cups. The place is elegantly dim-lit and with red satin fabric. Although the establishment is always full, somehow they manage to make great conversation extremely manageable. * 5 mins walking *

Parks & Nature

A little bit more than your average park. It's a huge field where many go to walk their dogs. When I say the field is huge, it really is that big. There are a variety of trees lining the periphery. It's in an area where you can see amazing new england style homes. The best aspect of this park is the pond and what surrounds it. It's referred to as a Sanctuary. The Sanctuary is essentially a wooden path that takes you into a natural area. It's filled with trees and gives you a great sense of peace. I'd post pictures if I could!

One of the 3 Independent, Arthouse and Foreign film theaters. This theater is really old school with an elegant charm. They have late night specials which are sometimes free if you show-up early enough! It's a local favorite. It's famous. The MFA Boston is amazing. I go all the time for their free exhibitions, last one was a modern japanese art/Anime exhibition. It's definitely one of the must-do's of visiting Boston regardless of where you are. The Museum is huge and so it's worth waking up early to go visit. The commute is a breeze, you take the bus for give or take 10 minutes, and then take the train 2 stops or walk the 5 minutes instead.

Shopping

Boston's quaint rendition of NYC's 5th Avenue. It's the only think I can really compare it too. It's a charmingly beautifully New England street consisting of fabulous shopping stores ranging from Guess, Valentino and Hermés to Nike town and Urban Outfitters. There are also a few restaurants and ice cream establishments. Even if you don't shop, it's worth it just for the great vibe! * ~10 mins on train *

In reality it's Copley Place + Prudential Mall. Copley place is the first half which is exclusively consisting of classic fashion house brands. It's as beautiful as it can be almost intimidating. However, it's worth to look around ! It's quite a view. The Prudential mall is a bit more toned down. It's more family oriented. Great restaurants and still great stores like LaCoste, Express, Club Monaco etc..
