City/town information

Meaford is quintessential small town Ontario. It is nestled between the shores of Georgian Bay and the scenic Beaver Valley and is known for its wide range of agricultural and outdoor offerings. You'll find acres of apple orchards as well as vineyards which also means you'll find wineries and cideries. Many are open to tour, for sampling and/or dining. For sport enthusiasts there are a wide variety of hiking and biking trails as well as cycling routes in the area and in winter skiing in the Blue Mountains. And of course we cannot forget water sports and fishing. The town's main street, Sykes St, offers a range of restaurants from cafe's to fine dining along with boutiques, shops and services. Travel 30 minutes east and you're in Owen Sound and west you're in Collingwood, both larger centres with even more options for shopping and dining. The village of Thornbury is only 15 minutes east of town and is home to the Thornbury cidery, Thornbury bakery and a number of great restaurants and shops as well. Staying in Meaford means you are in the centre of it all!
