Gorgeous waterfront park, Gas Works Park contains remnants of the sole remaining coal gasification plant in the United States. It is interesting to walk through the remnants of the plant and learn about how it was used to gasify coal.
Today, it has sprawling green meadows, walking trails, and a playground. In the summer you will see lots of picnickers enjoying the sun and impromptu concerts by local musicians.
