If this is your first-time visiting Marathon, you should know that Marathon is considered the heart of the Florida Keys because of its location in the middle of the Florida Keys island chain.
The area of Marathon consists of many Keys or islands starting with Long Key, the Conch Keys, Duck Key, Grassy Key, Boot Key, Crawl Key and Pigeon Key.
Marathon is a charming place to take a very relaxing vacation.
If you do not mind driving, you can also visit nearby Key West (it’s only one hour drive). Key West has its fair number of attractions and historical places for visitors of all ages, from the Ernest Hemingway Museum and the Key West Aquarium to the Butterfly Museum and Nature Conservatory. They too have many restaurants and local shops to buy gifts and memories.

Great casual food place. It has ocean view. You can get Crab Claws upstairs at the Keys Fisheries from October 15th to May 15th for about 3 dollars a-piece at night. They are at the end of 35th street on the Gulf side.
