3.1km away. A lovely little untouched beach to go for a walk. Please note that there isn’t a demarcated swimming area or life guards.

Roughly 13km away, Durban’s Golden Mile, with a wide paved promenade, runs the length of Durban’s coastline, starting at uShaka beach and ending at SunCost Casino, or even Moses Mabhida. With wonderful swimming beaches, some know as surfers’ paradise, and many food and beverage spots, it is a hub of activity. You can book surf lessons and rent various bicycles, carts and boards to join in the fun.

Durban Beach Front
Snell ParadeRoughly 13km away, Durban’s Golden Mile, with a wide paved promenade, runs the length of Durban’s coastline, starting at uShaka beach and ending at SunCost Casino, or even Moses Mabhida. With wonderful swimming beaches, some know as surfers’ paradise, and many food and beverage spots, it is a hub of activity. You can book surf lessons and rent various bicycles, carts and boards to join in the fun.
Sightseeing
Park outside Breakers Resort which is a 7.4km drive. A lovely walk through the mangroves, nature reserve and onto the beach. If you wish to walk a little longer, we often walk to Umdloti, a small neighbouring beach town (5km+). UMdloti has various restaurants, sometimes we stay for a meal and a drink and on the odd occasion have Uber’d back to the car instead of walking.
Note that when the tide is high it is difficult to pass across the lagoon once on the beach.

If you are looking for something a little more exhilarating then the Big Rush swing is for you. After doing it once, Ben says he would do it again, me on the other hand… not! Moses Mabhida is 12km away.
Although a bit of a drive (14km), this is a fun destination for the whole family with so much to do. Take a walk through the large aquarium and reptile park or check the website for specific show times. There is a water park with many rides, as well as snorkelling and cage diving experiences for those more adventurous.

Food scene
Hands down our favourite breakfast and quick lunch spot. Food is delicious, coffee is great and the staff wonderfully friendly. The service is so speedy, it is a wonderful place to pop in for a quick and affordable bite to eat.
While there, take a look at the other restaurants that may peak your interest on the Mackeurtan strip. (3.7km from the apartment). The Wok Box on the other side of the road is another local favourite.

3.4km up the hill, this market-like communal dinning experience with a unique range of artisanal cuisines, from breakfast through to late night desserts. On the other side is back yard bar with a tiki vibe and beautiful unrivalled views of the ocean.
