Restaurants

There is a bicycle for use (back bedroom). My recommendation: go up Robinson to Gilbert, use the bike lanes on Gilbert, turn right and downtown is about 20 mins, turn left a number of cool restaurants are about 10 mins straight down Gilbert (Ki Mexico; MP; Lowders bakery; Counterculture frozen yoghurt) Restaurants Bars etc: Fat Calf Brasserie (5 mins by car from the house or 10 mins easy ride by bike. I eat here practically every night. Also has good cocktails and wines. Good idea to make reservations); Havana Cigar Bar; Superior Steak house (upmarket); Korner Bar (downtown, gay bar)

More restaurants, stores etc

Vintage Wine Bar; Sweetport (Line Ave, ice cream); Robinson film center (downtown, arthouse); Shreveport Dog park, on the red river; Casinos if you are interested in them, there are around 6, the Horseshoe probably best; Youree Drive has many chain restaurants, malls and stores like Best buy, Lowes etc etc

More things to Do

Exercise: YMCA downtown (open to both men and women). has classes and all types of equipment, very big. Pool. Pay by day or month, cheap. Betty Virginia park on Line Ave, for walking. Checkout Bike Shreveport on Facebook, weekly free rides around town with a friendly group. Haircuts (men and women): very economical and quality even though its a school. Ask for Terri.
