This is a beautiful well groomed 16 mile trail perfect for biking, walking, running, exploring. It passes farms, small towns rivers and a gorge. Depending upon interest, I can offer more specific guidance as i have traveled the entire trail numerous times.

Between the towns of Califon and Highbridge you will find the breathtaking Ken Lockwood Gorge, one of NJ's best kept secrets. The Raitan River is accessible from many points in both towns and in between from the Columbia Trail. Fantastic fishing! A beautiful area to explore.
