One place we always visit if we are Gibsons for lunch. Unassuming from the outside (you go DOWN to the restaurant) it has a spectacular view of Gibsons Harbour and across to Keats Island, but the food is the draw. Hearty burgers but the seafood chowder is a stand-out!

You can walk right by this place and not even see it. It is tucked into the lower floor of the pink house up the hill in Lower Gibsons. But the food makes it worth looking for. Some of the prettiest presentation and freshest sushi around, including the city. The place is small so the service is head-snapping fast. Its a must stop when in Gibsons.

The restaurant at the West Coast Wilderness Lodge in Egmont at the entrance to Princess Louisa Inlet, is simply stunning. With its high timber-framed windows overlooking the ocean and its Westcoast inspired menu, it is a dining experience you won't soon forget. (can you say Squid Ink Risotto?) Reservations are a must and it closes for the winter in October.

But there is lots to do in the area, the Skookumchuk Rapids, the Back Eddy Marina and Pub and the tiny village of Egmont are all places to see. And the trip itself to there is a pretty drive.
