Go for a walk/run along the West Side highway! Good spot to watch sunset if the rooftops are closed or that’s not your thing. Grab a snack at Grand Banks or at the frying pan (in a boat!)

Consejos para la ciudad

Subway tips

-If you’re here for a weekend/week and will mainly use public transportation consider getting time based ticket (3 or 7 days) as opposed to paying per swipe! You break even with like two trips (one way) a day. Do anything more than that it’s “free”. -The L train takes you to Williamsburg (Brooklyn) very easily and is super close to the house -Express: on the red line the 2 and 3 trains run express so they don’t stop at every stop. Same for A train on the blue line. If you’re going far consider going express: much faster. -subway schedule is unreliable late on weekends.

Uber /Lyft / Via

Pricing between Uber , Lyft and Via can vary more than you think. I check pricing at more than one app of doing a $15+ ride

Trending Restaurants

Many of the trending NY restaurants require reservations ahead of time sometimes weeks ahead. Because of covid restriction sometimes it gets hard to get sitting. Plan ahead and call the restaurant if you really really want to get to eat at the place you want !!

Museums / Art Galleries

They are all reopening. Some might require getting tickets ahead of time. They are everywhere (Chelsea, lower east side, upper east side , upper west). Maybe add one or two depending on the neighborhood you’re visiting that day. Great way to kill time while you’re in line to a restaurant or in between activities ! Post brunch exercise maybe? Some famous ones : Whitney, Moma, Guggenheim, MET, David Zwirner Gallery
