This is where the Cottage is located, lots going on, and a great staging post for visits to surrounding towns and countryside, but if you fancy a breathe of fresh air and the fields aren't for you Balsall Common has its own park and nature reserve - it is behind the houses opposite the cottage. Just walk up to the shops, walk up the side of the Marsal Club Indian Restaurant , Green Lane, and the park is at the end of the road. If you are more adventurous and fancy walking in fields, the quickest access to the countryside is behind the cottage - walk down Sunnyside Lane, turn right at the roundabout, and then first left into Barratts Lane - there is a stile at the end of the first field that leads into the surrounding countryside.
