Great seafood and great atmosphere. If weather is nice, take a walk on the greenway after you eat. It is about a 10-15 minute walk to The Island. When you pass the Pirate Show, look through the windows from the parking lot to see if the seals are out. They are lots of fun to watch!

This is a traditional favorite for locals and visitor alike. Although we now have to watch our carbs and one of us no longer eats gluten, we always enjoy the open atmosphere, large windows, and festive setting that brings back memories of when our parents brought us here as children. In addition to pancakes, they have amazing fresh fruit and other breakfast options. The line outside moves quicker that you would expect, but is typically quite long, so try to go early.

If you want to see wildlife, this is a great place to find it. The road makes a loop, with lots of places to stop for hiking, viewing of authentic cabins, and even a couple of original church buildings from before the national park was established. The road closes in the early morning sometimes, and is only open to foot travel and biking, so check online if that is something you might be interested in. There is a picnic area and enough to see to keep you busy all day.

Walk to The Island
It is super easy to park at the Pigeon Forge Community Center (free) and walk to The Island. It takes about 15 minutes, past mini golf, go carts, and the Pirate Show (if the seals aren't performing, you can often see them playing in their pool next to the parking lot).

Pigeon Forge Trolley
Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg each have their own trolley system. It is easy to take the Pigeon Forge trolley to the Gatlinburg Visitor's Center and hop on the reasonably priced Gatlinburg Trolley there. It is much easier to enjoy the scenery, save on parking fees, and protect the environment by riding the trolley. Save money and time by riding the trolley right to the front gate of Dollywood. There is free parking at Patriot Park and many trolley stops are located nearby. Look online for locations, schedules and fees.
