Cafes & Coffee Shops

There are three locations of this creative coffee shop and roastery in Durham, but the closest is straight down Geer St. Try one of their creative drinks, including a wide selection of hot chocolates. This is a lovely place to sit and take in the Durham scene. After your coffee, you can stroll around the neighborhood and visit Fullsteam Brewery, browse local goods at The Mothership, or walk to the Durham Farmers’ Market. Pro-Tip: arrive early on Saturday to beat the line. Recommended: The Dr. Durham Latte, or check out the Lakewood location for made-to-order churros!

With several locations around Durham to choose from, this spot has, in my opinion, the best coffee in the area. The closest location is on Broad St. - just be aware indoor seating is minimal and often crowded. A great spot to grab a quick cup on the go. Recommended: Anything with the Macadamia milk, Gouda & Spinach Scones.

Cómo moverse

Downtown Parking

Street parking is mostly paid and, unfortunately, is strictly enforced. If you’re staying past 7pm, parking is free in city garages. Check the garage on Rigsbee & E Chapel Hill St. (near Dashi, The Durham Hotel, & Alley Twenty Six), Corcoran St. & Ramseur St. (near DPAC, 21c Museum & Hotel), or West Morgan & Foster St. (across from the Carolina Theatre). All of these are in quick walking distance to most of downtown.
