This is one of few traditional Yucatecan cuisine restaurants with a nice setting and a great buffet Monday through Friday from 1PM to 5PM. Yucatecan cuisine can be quite heavy so I recommend it for lunch

Any of the buses you catch at the bus stop near the apartment can drop you off at this area - just consider you will have to cross the street and the party center to find the access to the beach.
